This terrorist repeatedly beat capitol police with a hockey stick. Can we identify him? (More in comments) Unidentified suspect

Disgusting. Why the hell didn't they shoot them? Me - I'm breaking ranks. The situation has changed and I'm using lethal force. I won't be beat on because my bosses said no violence. In the rest of America doing shit like that gets you killed.

Apparently most of the Capitol police weren't even armed. Explains why they barely fought - a lot of them were terrified.

They didn't "barely fight." A lot of them fought heroically given their position. Only backing off when there was literally nothing they could do. Their efforts probably bought enough time to get everybody inside the building secured.

A lot of them fought, a lot of them didn't, which is evident from the videos. Those who are saying HOW COULD THEY JUST LET THEM THROUGH LKDJFISJEROIJLKCJLKMN may not realize some officers did not actually have weapons. Faced with 1000s of armed angry men (and a handful of women) - I might step aside too.

But you are right, a lot of the Capitol police were true heroes that day. That shouldn't be discounted. I didn't mean for my comment to generalize so broadly.
