BIFL Bed Sheets - King [Request]
We bought Brooklinen sheets 3 years ago and love them. But I just found lots of tears due to the material wearing down near the bottom. Instead of buying another set I’m looking for another brand that will last longer and pref. NOT $200.
TIA

Best to buy a few sets at a time, to keep a rotation without one set wearing down too fast.

We have threshold from target, ikea, random amazon ones, sets from Ross that I made duvet covers with (the top sheets), and the total game changer has been these suspender like clips that hold the sheets tight. The amazon reviews claim you’ll get a better sleep and damn it, they’re right. Get 200/300 100% cotton, these under $20 clips and call it a day.

You need at least three sets to have them last any length of time. One on the bed, one in the linen closet ready to go on the bed, one being laundered.
And trim your toenails regularly, including filing the edges so they're not sharp. I've ruined more than one top sheet by neglecting my toenails.

Like everyone is saying, sheets aren't a BIFL item, and 3 years isn't too shabby. I personally love the Kirkland Signature 680 Thread Count Sheet Set. $90 for the sheets and 4 pillowcases. They start out crisp but soft and don't appear to be breaking down after 3 years.

Garnet Hill organic percale. They are the only sheets I will use. High quality and long lasting. (Although none are BIFL, but these are the best I’ve found)

Folks keep asking this, and I add sheets from Target. I got the Casaluna brand, but most recently the "Solid Performance 400 Thread Count Sheet Set - Threshold" set, 100% cotton, 60 bucks for a king set. As good as other more expensive brands I've got. They are fitted well, hold tight, look good, and have lasted years through rotating them. I'll stick with that Target brand for my next sets.

I love my Brooklinen sheets. I have had them for years and sleep on them every night. My partner has scratchy feet and these are the first sheets he hasn't put a hole in. I wonder if the quality has changed.

I bought some true linen sheets from Quince that have been really nice so far. They are on sale, so below your $200 target price. They felt "scratchy" at first, but it is the strangest sensation...just as soon as your brain tells you it is going to be unpleasant, it's soft.

Otherwise I just try and find Egyptian cotton, high thread-count / soft sheets at Meijer when they go on clearance. So ideally $100 sets for $50-$60. I get at least 3-4 years out of them if I rotate 3-4 sets.
