Some may be surprised to find a Big Nate comic described as boomer humour. But cartoonist Lincoln Peirce was born in 1963, which makes him a boomer.

There are numerous instances in Peirce's Big Nate comics that are typical of boomer humour. For instance, see this example of "wife bad" boomer humor.

Well, that doesn't really read to me as "wife bad" humor but rather a bit of commentary on "wife bad" humor. The joke is that the boomer is making wife bad jokes, the comic isn't itself making a wife bad joke.

You're supposed to understand that the old guy is full of shit.

You've convinced me; I'll concede the point, i.e. it's the boomer in the comic making the "wife bad" jokes, not the cartoonist.

Although the fact that the cartoonist made a whole comic about it does imply he finds it somewhat funny.

it doesn't imply that at all. the tone of this comic implies the complete opposite. people do not only make art about things they enjoy
