Any info on space coast job

Wondering if anyone has any useful insight into this position out of the space coast.

What is salary range? It is only posted for CO and CA.

What is work life balance like?

Ability to work remote?

Any other insight would be greatly appreciated!!

I would not expect work life balance.

Do you work there and know work life balance is bad?

I work here at Rocket Park. And I will tell you you can work as much as you want as long as you have something to do. But there’s a lot of people that only work 40-50 hrs a week. They ask for volunteers for weekends and if someone doesn’t want to work they don’t give them a hard time. I on the other hand work every weekend I can. I like the money. As for pay we are on the lower end of the pay scale because it used to be cheaper to live here in Florida. But now we are seeing that the cost of living is getting closer to Washington state. There has been rumors they are going to try and get us on par with Huntsville and Kent. But those are rumors that have been flying around for at least a year. I don’t know if it’ll happen but if I was a gambling man I would guess that it’ll happen around the end of year review process. If it doesn’t happen then it’s not going to happen. But we still get paid better than everyone else in this area. They are very guarded on the pay scale but if you are in the process of getting hired you have a right to ask for the pay scale before excepting any offer. It’s the law they have to provide it if asked for it. After you except an offer I don’t think they have to. From what I know of the pay scales they are wide open. Level 2’s can make more then a level 4 can. But I seriously doubt any level 2 is making more than a Sr at this point in the game. As for remote workers that’s not going to happen unless you are the elite top 1% maybe. They made a couple guys choose between coming down here full time or finding another job because they were remote 2 weeks and then working onsite 2 weeks. They were top tier performers. Neither one wanted to live in Florida due to personal reasons so one quit and the other transferred to another site that he liked better. Overall Blue isn’t a bad place to work. It was a little cliquish a year ago but we have grown so much those got busted up pretty quick.

Gotcha, this is very helpful!

I am coming from a position I really enjoy, with 2 day a week remote. So for me to move, it would have to be only for the money. So looking for a 50% ish raise. Though, even then, i would have to think hard if its worth the lack of remote work especially since my commute would be about an hour.
