Alright listen up you shit maggots.

As one of the people who brought the $150 version of 2042 I felt like the extra kind of stupid when it came out, 2042 was super buggy, ran like shit and the game play just didn't feel good.

Now I'm playing Delta Force after literally giving up on FPS after the whole 2042 thing and I have to say this game is a direct copy of battlefield for sure but with some pretty big differences.

This game is completely free so I'm will to accept more bullshit then $150 game, it runs like a dream SERIOUSLY I would argue that this runs way better than 2042 even does now, the gunplay is tight asf with some top tier customization and it's only currently in alpha which is crazy to think it's in a better state than the full release of 2042.

Nailed it.

Despite being the exact same theme as BF2042 (Near-future modern war) and very similar gameplay bits (Operators, classes, etc...), i found Delta Force to be superior as it is to BF2042.

The TTK and gunplay is greater. Vehicles in general feel more appropriately balanced and they have very similar customizations. Good selection of weapons, progression is easy enough for a F2P title (Although i suspect it's going to change once we get a proper public release)

Performance and latency is great. Matchmaking works flawlessly, game runs great and never had any issues with ping or anything like that.

In fact, the whole game currently feels quite balanced as it is. I played about three dozen matches so far and nothing as stood out as being over-used or overpowered. Everything seems to have it's pros and cons, and can catter to a bunch of different playstyles with ease.

There is a few goofy things tho. The matches being sometimes overwhelmed by disguised bots sucks balls. The "ranked" system basically has no influence on gameplay or progression and feels useless. Vehicle physics is also quite goofy (The helicopter in particular is horrible), destruction could use a few tweaks. Guided missiles are ass with a poor range, and can easily be countered with thermal smoke. Ammunition reload for vehicules doesn't work unless you're switched to it, which is very strange. There is a few other things i'm probably missing.

And yeah, it's basically a BF2042 clone, but because it doesn't have that BF ancestry, operators, mixed classes and such aren't as controversial because for all intent and purposes it's not a BF game and doesn't have the history of being a much better game.

Also, by far the biggest concern is how well the devs themselves will react to feedback. There's already been a bit of a curfuffle on the subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/DeltaForceGlobal/comments/1eny14p/rdeltaforceglobal_community_update/

Doesn't look great. Which is a shame because the game itself is good.
