Peter Dutton unveils huge plan to become Australia’s 32nd PM
https://www.news.com.au/national/peter-dutton-reveals-what-drives-him-to-become-prime-minister/news-story/5e5d9d71b1de1ab3d7bba9a2465ed500?amp•

$7.5 million over 3 years isn't massive. It's not even small. It's miniscule.
The headline is nearly as bad as the--for want of a better word--"policy".

Australia will enter a new ‘Golden Age’ along side America this year.
Peter is strong, articulate and focused on conservative values and economic growth.
Well done PM Dutton.. your pre-election speech today was impeccable.

focused on conservative values
Conservatives don't have values. All they do is say whatever they think will get them in power at which point they just go around helping themselves and their mates while fucking over everyone else and expecting us to be grateful for it.

Peter is strong, articulate and focused on conservative values and economic growth.
He loves economic growth so much he's predicting the country to use 40% less electricity than other estimates, and as we all know GDP and energy consumption tend to increase in tandem.
He's planning for us to be poorer, I suppose he really does have a strong focus on conservative values.

Only if you believe already discredited Bowen-nomics 🤦♂️

And you believe Dutton's plan? I feel sorry for you, you never had a chance.

You're being loose with the truth here.

This appears to be more about his experiences as a cop than as a plan for becoming PM, but it's interesting how much he's leaning into that as really, being in the QLD police isn't exactly a glowing positive

Hahaha…. To quote my beloved Taylor Swift
🎵 In your wildest dreams ah ha! 🎵
Keep dreaming Peter and maybe try again in 2028.

Not according to the polls or the preferred PM. While I also support Labor, you do gotta open your eyes to the reality that Dutts may just be PM.
Not that I agree with it.
•

Yeah but I just still don’t see that happening. The population would have to just be incredibly stupid to vote for Dutton. The current government ud a breath of fresh air over the absolute rabble of incompetence that was the LNP who did nothing but look after their rich mates.

Reddit is a left wing echo chamber.
I’m not saying that being left is a bad thing, just acknowledging the fact that is what Reddit is.
People on here seem to be detached from what is actually happening on the ground and right wing politicians sometimes win elections, much to Reddit’s surprise and dismay.
Don’t be overconfident. Polls aren’t helpful, nor are your own assumptions.
Voters are incredibly stupid.

r/politics had me convinced Kamala Harris would win in a landslide against Trump. 🤷♂️

Anthony Albanese has been that bad and very disliked, it may actually happen, to be fair. He’s the Kamala Harris of Australia, unfortunately.

A few months ago I'd have agreed whole heartedly. But then I saw the US election. Do not underestimate the stupidity of the average voter.

Trump didn't win on the stupidity of the American voter. They've always been stupid. They'll always be stupid.
They're barely better than savages.
He won on the stupidity of the Democratic establishment. They couldn’t grasp that people wanted something more than empty platitudes and a coronation.
They were so wrapped up in their own entitlement to power that they couldn't see the forest for the trees, and they couldn't smell their own shit on their knees.
•
u/dleifreganad 15h ago
Peter Dutton doesn’t need a plan to be the Prime Minister. He just needs to not be Anthony Albanese.

u/getmovingnow 15h ago
Amen . The country can’t afford another 3 years of no details Albo .
•
u/fluffy_101994 Australian Labor Party 15h ago
HA. HAHAHAAH. “No details Albo”…while the Coalition have released one costing for a half assed nuclear plan.
•
u/PracticalHabits 15h ago
No details Albo? I'm not a massive fan either, but calling him "no details Albo" in favour of Dutton and his nuclear circus, where he released no details for months, then the only details he released were independently squashed, just feels off.
•
u/polski_criminalista 15h ago
What details has he not shared?
•
u/getmovingnow 15h ago
How quickly people forget. Remember The Voice ? DJ Albo was interviewed on Insiders after the Ganna Festival and he famously when pressed for detail by David Speers Albo said “ he didn’t want to get bogged down in detail “.
Also remember he had a pretty bad campaign where he didn’t know the unemployment rate and key policy details .
•
u/polski_criminalista 15h ago
Oh i remember, i voted yes because there was no detail lacking
What more detail did you want about the voice?
Why is it important to know the exact unemployment figure?
•
u/getmovingnow 15h ago
There was plenty of detail lacking . We had no idea how the Voice would be constituted, where it would sit , how many days it would sit for ,would it be a paid position, how would it be staffed , would it only sit when parliament sat ,when there was a change of government could they dismiss the leadership etc etc .
Beside all or the above it would have achieved absolutely nothing and the intractable problems would have still been there . We knew absolutely nothing so it was a very easy no vote for me . Besides the left can never be trusted as they would have weaponised it to the max .
•
u/polski_criminalista 14h ago
How it was constituted would be up to parliament, why were you even worried about staff and payment? Would you like to have known their star signs too?
All that could have been up for further debate in parliament anyway, people could protest any unfair legislations anyway or vote for the party that offers a better system. Your issues are genuinely pathetic
We knew enough but you fell for liberal propaganda on detail, you fell for the politicisation of the issue and spat in aboriginals faces while at it
The left have carried this country, your lot just holds us back with your pathetic issues and empty policy landscape
•
u/getmovingnow 14h ago
No your issues are pathetic. You wanted to implement something that was poorly thought out and was nothing more than a symbol of gesture politics to satisfy the woke army in inner city Sydney and Melbourne.
It was a huge relief that it was comprehensively defeated. But I know the Left will not let this go and will try and get treaty and the truth commission into effect which is what you guys really wanted.
•
u/polski_criminalista 14h ago
A symbol that has evidence showing it helps indigenous groups? Did you know USA, Canada, NZ and more all have an equivalent voice and it helped their indigenous populations? Every single one it helped with outcomes.
There is a reason the more educated overall voted yes, we researched the detail and didn't fall for low iq propaganda that mouth breathers lap up like a fat kid with cake
Of course we will continue to try to help our indigenous, i actually care about humans unlike pathetic and parochial liberals who are a genuine shit stain on this beautiful country
•
u/getmovingnow 14h ago
That is absolute garbage about the countries you mentioned and I don’t remember the USA changing their constitution either .
You are doing absolutely nothing and are not even remotely interested in the real problems and issues as they require too much hard work and can be a bit uncomfortable.
Albo is a perfect illustration of that . When Alice Springs was facing a huge crisis in law and order he was only there for a few hours then it was straight to the Tennis for 3 days .
See the left are only interested in talking about the issues and attributing blame to things we can do nothing about ie colonisation and that is what makes the left truly pathetic.

Can you show me where Peter Dutton has this for his signature Nuclear plan?

Holy shit this is a bad article.
Like dogshit bad. I'd expect this kind of worthless drivel from Alexandra Smith maybe, but damn.

It is tiring to have to remind everyone that this is not a media watch subreddit. If you don’t like News Corp articles, why waste your time complaining about it in comments? Don’t engage with the content. Comments will be removed. Repeat offenders can have some time off to engage with their preferred media outlets.
