3D printed shotgun shell cutter. Reloading

Post image

Bought this from a guy on a FB reloading page and it works a treat. Got me thinking about previous posts on here regarding 3D printing, and posts about the difficulties in sourcing various components here at the prices being asked.

There's definitely an opportunity there for people to (relatively) easily and cheaply make things locally that are either unavailable or prohibitively expensive.

I think the major obstacle to people 3D printing stuff is the laws in several states which could, if someone's having a bad day, potentially be twisted to make it seem like someone's 3D printing actual guns instead of innocuous stuff like this.

You're absolutely correct; there were laws drafted in NSW years ago to this effect if I remember correctly- something about anything that could be used in creation of a firearm, which meant if you owned a hacksaw and a drill press you could be in the poo.

Pretty sure Tasmania just passed laws banning 3D printing of "Firearm Accessories", too.

That would be a bummer for me 3d printing picatinny foregrips for my nerf gun.

So technically you can't print a mag holder for your belt.

Ridiculous.
