I had to scroll way down for this. But definitely the best book in the series, the pacing in this book is unmatched, it's so good.

My (and I think most people's) ranking of the books goes

3>1>5=2>4

I heard it best describes that if AGoT is a perfect novel, ASoS is an epic masterpiece in scope and scale
