Freshwater What would you put in this tank? 20g L
Right now i have a small school of spotted rasboras (boraras maculatus) and small school of Norman's lampeye killis. The plan os to potentially move them to one of my other tanks to get more of a centerpiece fish if theyre not compatible. I have relatively harder water but have been able to keep some softer water fish if locally bred. If I keep them in there I'm thinking of some kind of tetra or maybe more rasboras. I also am thinking of a big school of corydoras as it's been a few years since I've kept some. The only thing I want to stay away from is bettas (as we have other tanks for them) and rams (I've kept them before but I'm ready for something else I haven't kept before)

Discussion/Article Interesting algea patterns on glass
My new tank is fully cycled and life has exploded, including algae and THREE HITCHHIKER SNAILS 😡 (I love them tho). Tons of little tiny worms and flea looking things. I noticed today that the algea is really strange looking.. what are these triangles? How weird is that! I don't intend on getting rid of the algea yet since there are little tiny snails that need to grow but I just thought it was kind of cool :)

Discussion/Article How bad is this?
galleryFor reference, I live in Melbourne and I stumbled across this aquarium store. I was really excited but when I walked in, all I saw was fish in tiny little jars with nothing else. I’m no expert on whether it’s ok or not, I just I’d ask here for your opinions.

Freshwater I don't know if I should jump for joy or freak out!
My platies have been in our hospital tank for several days now. It took erythromycin and some ich meds to finally get them back to normal. I'm keeping them in the hospital for a little while to make sure they're clear. Surprisingly, I discovered a handful of babies swimming around this evening! This is my first time with babies, and I'm speechless.

Help/Advice Copepods/Daphnia/Moina/Black Worms possible to cultivate in community tank?
Would it be possible to sustain a population of “food” fauna in a community tank? How would I go about intentionally introducing them to my tank, just order some eggs or a culture online and put them in?

Help/Advice Why do my sponge filter bubbles keep reducing?
Recently, my sponge filter has been bubbling less than it should. I checked the tube and re-seated it on the pump, but it seemingly keeps changing on its own. The bubbles in the clear middle part look normal. The pump is warm as well but it's summer here so that isn't too odd. It could be something inside the outlet, like an overly adventurous snail, but it happens enough that I'm getting a bit worried.
I did recently move and had to drain the tank to around 20%, but I made sure to turn everything off first.

Help/Advice Help with German blue rams
galleryAfter fighting some other sort of fungal infection on both of my rams it seems that my male has gotten another larger one on his head. Any ideas on what to do? I’m currently dosing the tank with Paragaurd from seachem but it hasn’t gotten any better.

Help/Advice Mystery Snail Shell Discoloration
Hello, I have a few mystery snails, however this one has developed white and brown scarring on the shell. I am new to keeping aquatic snails, so I am not sure of the exact issue, do you have any idea on how to fix it? Thanks!

Invert Got rid of all our female snails
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Now our 12 remaining boy snails just hump each other in these orgy balls all day long.
I should say it was an accident that we got rid of the females. We had a population explosion and gifted away 50 snails… and only kept boys. Sigh.

Discussion/Article Fish Youtubers
Is there any fish youtubers that you really don't like? I personally don't like father fish. He keeps bettas in bowls which are not good. Even big bowls do not provide enough air flow a lot of the time and it stresses bettas out. He also just randomly takes fish from his local streams, like what? Just to keep them in tiny jars for his entertainment.

Betta Meet Yeet (and read the wild story behind his name!).
We've seen this little Betta fish during our last few visits to Petco, where he was living in a container with a banana plant. Curious about the unusual pairing, we asked the manager for an explanation.
He told us that about a month ago, a child had picked up the container to look at the fish. After a few minutes, the child suddenly "yeeted" the entire container, fish and all. The manager confronted the child's mother, and an argument ensued.
Ultimately, the guilty party left, and the manager placed the Betta with a banana plant, hoping it would help save him.
We asked if we could buy the banana plant and adopt the fish for free, and the manager agreed. So now, we are the proud owners of a Betta fish we named Yeet. He is currently in a 10-gallon planted tank, and we hope he thrives!
