NEW: Buy/Sell/Trade Weekends!
After posting a feeler a couple weeks back, you overwhelmingly supported the idea of allowing Buy/Sell/Trade posts on the weekends. The purpose of this would be to have certain days where you can post up items you want to buy, or parts you want to sell, with the understanding that buying/selling posts cannot be made on other days during the week.
- How does this work? - On Saturdays and Sundays, feel free to submit Want to Buy, Want to Sell, or Want to Trade posts for parts, full vehicles, whatever. If you're working on a project and are in search of something you're not finding on Marketplace or fleabay, feel free to post it up here. Or, maybe you've got a specialty tool you used for a project you no longer need, or you're parting out a rig. Post it up here on the weekend!
- Can I comment on a for sale post during the week? - Of course you can. The restriction is only that there are no classified posts during the week. You can comment, ask, haggle all you want during the week.
- What if I have some parts I want to sell and it's Wednesday? - Just wait a few days until Saturday and post 'em up.
- Some dude posted a bunch of parts for sale, took my money, and never shipped anything. What do I do? - Buyer beware. It's always recommended to use PayPal Goods and Services when dealing with someone you don't know so you have buyer protection. If someone asks that you pay them with Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, or PayPal Friends and Family, you are shit out of luck if they take your money and run.
- Why the new rule? It didn't seem like there was a lot of classified posts before - Over the past couple months the sub was seeing more frequent spammers and scammers, with one particular bad actor popping up under different usernames. Having the Buy/Sell/Trade Weekend rule in place makes it easier to remove the scammers and also makes it easier to know when to look out for stuff for sale.

Will a rear diff from an 89 3.0 5 speed be compatible with a 94 22RE 5 speed?
Planning to get this donor. Gearing is good, just want to make sure there isn't some incompatibility I'm not aware of.

Has anyone bolted a 1992 toyota w55 2wd transmission off a 22re to a ford 302 small block v8? Do they make a bell housing for it?

Need your opinions.
So my mechanic is building me a 22r. It will be a zero mile motor. Built and installed for $1800. He will be reusing the fuel pump, power steering pump and everything else on my current motor. Which is all brand new. My question is, is $1800 a good deal? A fair deal?

Rethreading front shock holes
What’s the proper helicoil size to buy?
If I remember correctly, the bolt for my( 1989 2wh 5sp) front shocks are 14m
But one holt just keeps on spinning and never grabs on so I think the hole is shredded.
I’ve never done a rethreading insert before.
I see all the m8, m10 and m’s. Does it need an M14?

Question about LCE spiral adapter for 32/26
Hi guys n gals, question for yall.
The LCE spiral adapter for 22r 32/36 Weber caught my eye and since the old Weber has a leak thought it would be worth the upgrade. However what confused me is the performance value. If this is true and you can get 6hp from a “charged” (used lightly) adapter, why has no other company sold this? Seems like an LCE only product. If you have installed please let me know what the results were. Thank you!

California smog. Hey guys having an issue passing smog on my 86 22re.
i.redd.itA couple of years ago it passed with flying colors. This time around is not the case. High Nox. Checked my codes and got code 5 for 02 sensor. Took it out and cleaned it out. But the denso was still in good shape considering that it about 4 years old. What should I look into? Also I’ve had the ca legal lce header/new cat/lce pro flow exhaust installed for the past 5 years and it’s always passed before. Should the AFM be adjusted?

22re stalling
I cant figure out what the problem is on my 1991 22re, lots of new parts (distributor cap and rotor, fuel injectors, fuel rail, fuel pump, fuel filters, fuel pressure regulator, tps, maf). If someone out there might have a clue, I'd be more than happy to listen. Tanks everyone

Interior update
i.redd.itConverted my sagging bench seat to buckets from a 97 Honda Accord Coupe. Just added the center console today and I really like it. It’s a Tuffy that I found on Amazon.

94 pickup is chewing through alternator belts like a kid eats candy.
Hi. First post. I have a 94 Toyota pick up (4cyl) and my alternator belt (7345) keeps getting chewed up and years after 100 miles or so. Before it shreds it starts screeching. I have a mechanic friend who is putting the new belt on for me but now we’re wondering why the car keeps chewing them up. If anyone has any advice or suggestions it is truly appreciated. I only used the pickup for projects for many years but I recently started using it as my daily driver and need to rely on it. Thanks!!

Head rests
Hi guys, recently bought a 1989 pickup DLX extended cab with no head rests. Does anyone know if there are any cars with similar head rests?
Can’t seem to find any available online so hopefully other cars have the same fit. Thank you.
