A couple of years ago a North Korean soldier made a dash for South Korea. He made it but was wounded by NK border troops. While in hospital in SK to receive treatment he was very weak, thin and very ill. Turns out he was infested with several assorted internal pests and worms. It’s thought that a good number of NK troops, and the population of NK in general, are generally infested with internal parasites. Which might help explain the almost cachexia like emaciation of the fellow in the photo.

I remember. My husband is from South Korea, and we’ve been watching a lot of this news in interest

Thought you were going to call your husband a parasite for a second there.

Never. My ex, sure. But never my husband

Some of those parasites might even spread if hygiene is bad. Which could be nasty. If word gets out that the ‘boyz’ are being parasitized by NK soldiers, I can’t imagine that really boosting morale.

Sure hope they boil the shit out of every little scrap they get. Actually I don’t.

Remember a few months back when NK was sending trash balloons with feces in it over to SK? Do you think this was the goal?
