Some* humans suck.

Way too many. But not everyone.

Few humans suck, most of us just do the best with the world the few own and control, and play games with.

Whatever you get the picture. Most of us.

Nah actually most people are pretty chill. It’s just good people don’t covet power like bad people do so you get war and class systems. The average person just wants to be with like minded people, fill their bellies and live in peace. If we were all so evil we wouldn’t obey laws or play nice with each other at all. Our society wouldn’t have evolved past hunter gatherers.

We need to get WAY better at dealing with the bad apples of our species before they destroy us

I agree with most of what you said

People by and large are still bound to tribalism, even if we think we aren't. We never outgrew that, and until we do the majority of humans will be fully capable of turning on their fellow humans if necessity calls for it.

We all have monsters in us, they're just dormant most of the time because of convenience.

Nah, a lot of us have dealt with our darkness, understood it, accepted it, healed from it and learned how to peacefully not be controlled by it.

I heavily dislike this idea that every human is a tickling time bomb, almost eagerly waiting for the right moment to explode, when that is simply not true. I think this is what a lot of people tell themselves precisely to not be responsible of themselves.

I watched an interesting video about how we are different than animals. Animals have a tendency towards violence in order to survive. We have the potential for violence but most of us will never act on this potential, despite whatever black is swimming in our heads, because we have the capacity to make that choice. People who believe all humans are evil need to put their phone down and go outside, talk to people and see the world without the algorithm filter or whatever doom and gloom the media is pushing.

Some cockroaches don’t crawl across my kitchen counter. Some rats don’t chew holes in my walls.

We are collectively a failed species.
