At the same time how many innocent bystanders have been killed by stray rounds. Here in St. Louis, living in the city, you can hear full auto gunfire weekly sometimes. Everyone’s got a switch.

So to counter this we just need to arm about twenty bystanders with a glock equipped with a glock switch and 100 round mags and just let them unload into the neighborhoods where that shit is happening.

Surely even the really stupid ganglosers would understand the message, or be wiped out by the stray fire.

Mostly being sarcastic. Why the flip flapping fuck do we even still have fucking jerkass bangers with guns capable of firing 30 hollow points in their pants while body armor costs more than anyone can afford?!

Better if they are firing hollow points tbh, they don’t penetrate much if they miss their target.

1

u/Eva-Squinge 19d ago

Except the cause more damage when they do, and that “don’t penetrate much” goes right through most cheap housing. The exact same places they typically do drivebys around.

True, hollow points do more damage on impact, but they’re still more likely to break apart or stop in drywall or a car door than FMJs. Less likely to overpenetrate, but still fucked either way.

Tell it to Europe’s lack of mass shootings

1

u/Nellez_ 21d ago

Europe doesn't have the already existing massive supply of firearms. Gun laws work really well when there aren't many to begin with. Having a massive number already here makes it easier to obtain for criminals who, especially if they're obtaining them with the intention of violence, won't lose sleep over illegally obtaining a firearm.

No matter how badly you want it to be a simple fix, it's a complex issue and the "hurr durr Europe has almost no shootings" argument completely lacks nuance and understanding.

2

u/SirJohnSmythe 21d ago

What's your solution besides "not gun laws" then?

2

u/Nellez_ 21d ago

You have to attack the issue at its roots. That means education, socioeconomic reforms, and addressing the glamorization of criminals and criminal lifestyles. A normal, well-adjusted human vastly prefers to live a safe life with their family over one where they sometimes have no choice or are forced into criminal activity to survive.

It’s often teens, and teens feel immortal anywhere. It’s biology and how brain development is. If teens can obtain guns, you will have these shootings. It’s dead simple

About 95% of all social issues are due to an overabundance of low quality, garbage, bottom of the barrel trash humans that are unfit for society. Get rid of them and you get rid of the issues.

I agree, anyone making less than 400k a year needs to be eradicated

Mass shootings are driven by media not by firearm ownership.

1

u/PrestigiousTreat6203 20d ago

Right its been journalists shooting up classrooms this whole time how could we have missed it!

1

u/Few-Cry-9763 20d ago

Learn to read, I never said journalists shot up classrooms. I said they are responsible and I believe they should be held accountable for promoting school shootings. It’s time the media pays for its fair share.

1

u/PrestigiousTreat6203 20d ago

In what way is it journalists fault that kids are getting guns and shooting people? News coverage isn’t “promoting school shootings” you lunatic.

That’s not the difference between us and countries that don’t have this problem. You know what is? Gun control 🤯

Dude, for a city in a modern first-world country, that's just utter madness. In my home country, there'd be a manhunt if someone so much as fired a gun at the sky; and casually carrying a gun will get you ostracized from even the most hardcore gangs.

I'm no fan of governments but their monopoly on violence is kind of what keeps the whole thing from falling apart. If citizens think they've got carte blanche on guns, you gotta march the people onto the street and strip search them if necessary. Ain't nobody got time for that ghetto shit.

How do you guys get any business done?

1

u/Allgoochinthecooch 21d ago

Yeah. Here in sac there was a shooting on k street with multiple civ casualties. One guy with a Glock with a switch got shot while his finger was on the trigger, whole mag got emptied on his way to the ground and several people got hit

Arm more good people. This isn’t a radical stance

2

u/jettmann22 21d ago

More guns is never the answer

0

u/needlitecoin 21d ago

It's always the answer. Just think in terms of very late term abortions, then it'll be okay.

I’m still waiting on mine. Any day now.

Yeah, all those police that didn't storm the Uvalde shooter

-6

u/MGeezy9492 21d ago

Less guns has been the answer. How’s it going?

3

u/jettmann22 21d ago

But it's not actually less guns.

-1

u/HEYO19191 21d ago

No? It's definitely, 100% less guns. We've been doing less guns for about 40 years now. Less guns doesn't seem to be working.

2

u/jettmann22 21d ago

So, we are selling less guns today than 30 years ago?

0

u/HEYO19191 21d ago

Less types of guns, absolutely.

Not less guns. As the population grows, so does the number of gun owners. There's no avoiding that, though.

2

u/jettmann22 21d ago

There absolutely is a way to avoid that

0

u/HEYO19191 21d ago

I mean, yeah, sure, we could go and say, "Everybody with brown hair can no longer buy guns." And that'll sure reduce gun ownership.

It'll also make a lot of people confused, mad, and won't really solve anything. But hey, less guns definitely totally is always safer, regardless of the context!!!! Right??

2

u/Lurkario- 21d ago

For every country that’s done it: amazingly

1

u/MGeezy9492 21d ago

Name some

1

u/RSQN 21d ago

Australia and Japan

2

u/Pollia 21d ago

Ask the countries that actually did less guns?

1

u/HEYO19191 21d ago

Oh, like Australia?

1

u/MGeezy9492 21d ago

Which ones? What would they say?

1

u/HEYO19191 21d ago

You see, M, obviously the solution to violence is to disarm those that aren't violent.

Duh.
