thats good you're experimenting, but you never mentioned nutrients, because they need nutrients in order to grow. For example that squash which has been around the longest has a ton of flowers, yet is pale yellow, which means it is stressing out, plants usually put out a ton of flowers when they are expecting to die, because it's a plant strategy to try and get their seeds out before they go.

You'll want to use some nutrients, which is fairly easy to do general measurements with general hydroponics, A and B and some epomsalt. You will probably want some iron as well
