For those asking, I was actually inspired by a post a couple of weeks ago by u/teymourbeydoun.
I couldn't find a cheap 1943 Indian Pice coin, so I settled for the 1944 that was $5.70 total on eBay (with shipping).
For the threads I used #922 and #816 embroidery floss that I just got from amazon for like $3 a 14-pack. The remaining colors will just go to my kid's crafting stuff.

I love it. With these hanging off their backpack, an instant way the jocks can identify the nerds at school and give them a good beating.

Until the nerds start inverting spitballs- getting hit by an inverted spitball will lead to heavy bruising and even breaking of the skin.
Don’t think the jocks are gonna be laughing when Ives and his team show up to give them an inverted wedgie. “Don’t try to understand it... FEEL IT.”
And shouldn’t the coin be a 1991 coin?

Damn how much are these pice going for? My grand parents might have few from 19th century too.

I'm from India and even I don't see these anywhere these days...! Someday maybe my class friend ( a coin collector ) showed one like this to me.

Year off by one but still great! What string did you use?

Yeah the 1943 was too expensive LOL...the 1944 was $2.50. :) I used the #922 and #816 in packs like this

Very nice. I’ve got my mauli thread but the 1943 coins are a tad expensive so I’ll likely grab a 1944 or 1945 too.

Awesome! Is that a coin with the middle punched out?
