I hate how the patterns land on the Ambassador you can't put hardly anything on it
I just want the odyssey skin so I can have a bright clean ship with glowing engines
That's all I need that an bloc 1/2 for some black bits

Are we sure the ambassador's visuals aren't actually bugged? Like, those can't be working as intended, right? The bozeman isn't supposed to give such a white saucer and the plat shield sure as shit isn't supposed to do that.

The new Ambassador model was made after those vanity shields came out - and weren't tweaked to get the shields to work with their new geometry
You'll encounter this in a number of the remastered ships

I've actually pulled alot of vanities off of ships in favor of the natural esthetic. I do run the Alliance vanity on my Atlas. It compliments it fairly well.

I completely get what you are saying, and I sympathize, but, respectfully, those Ambassadors are going hard.

As much as I love and enjoy the Platinum and Alliance vanity shields, the visual effects can be either underwhelming, or outright jarring, when applied to certain ships. I love how the Alliance vanity shield make a D'deridex, a Galaxy-Class, and a Negh'var look, but not so much on the Ambassador-Class and the TOS Constitution-Class.
The Ambassador-Class looks like a vulture with either the Platinum or the Alliance vanity shields; white head with a black body. The TOS Constitution-Class doesn't look as bad with the Platinum vanity shield...but then put on an Alliance vanity shield, and your TOS Constitution-Class looks like a damn candy cane, lol.
Mr. Crowley's USS Crazy Train is not supposed to look like a Christmas candy cane, lol.
