Just bought and opened 30 Phoenix Prize packs to get some Universal Tech Upgrades. I was pleasantly surprised by the haul.

Odds are about 1 in 1500.

Ive opened probably a few thousand over time and only had 1 drop- and I still have it.

I have no idea how many I've opened over the last several years, but the only Epics I've ever received came from annual events.

I've gotten 3 in about 4 years of playing the game but honestly apart from space barbie, the ships are pretty meh, except for domino console

Fortunately, I love Space Barbie. I got the Compiler Science Dreadnought, as I already had the Domino. It’s very pretty with the Reman Sheild in the vanity slot.

Yeah I got a epic recently too. I put it in my account bank and it’s still there as I can’t make my mind up… probably use it on an alt to give it a decent unique ship to start with.

I already had the Domino console from the reward epic token I had, so I went for the Compiler Science Dreadnought. With the reman shield in the vanity slot it looks beautiful.

Tip: only buy new Phoenix Prize Pack on toons that you've not bought on previously.

I buy 100-120 Phoenix Prize Pack on a new toon and 80% got me an Epic - got seven (over several years).

I currently have one in my account bank, has been for a few months, don’t know what to use it on, I’ll probably end up using it on another vorgon ship on my Klingon character, my main fed is what usually gets all the ships. So….

If it’s the event reward one, you can also claim it on alternate characters.

Tbh I am quite disappointed with how few tech upgrades an epic token converts into, I think it was 16 per epic

I just opened the winter event boxes, these are my only ones I’ve ever had…got 2 of the tier ones. 

I also opened 20x of the infinity ones, got my “free ship” one in my 17th box. 

I just started playing the game in November. 

Am I doing it wrong?
