Ignoring all the various physical and technological requirements...

Would you even be able to feel it? Lets say you fall feet first into the event horizon, pain is an electrical impulse sent along your nerves, and obviously that can't move faster than C so, wouldn't it never reach your brain?

Fair enough. I guess going into a black hole isn't truly so difficult. It's the getting out part that's hard.

Tie this rope around your waist and hop on in. Gimme a yank when you've collected all the data, and I'll pull you back out. What could go wrong?
