Lots of details on the set up needed to dock spacecraft in space.

Orbital rendezvous is a huge deal. What is really remarkable is that the man responsible for developing the mathematics for making it happen is still alive. That is none other than Buzz Aldrin, the 2nd man to walk on the Moon. It was his doctoral dissertation that created those equations and established the theories for how to get it accomplished...only to actually pilot the spacecraft that first accomplished such a task just a few years later.

Yes, getting this to work is a complex task and demonstrates the ability to do complex operations in space. I am rooting for ISRO and hope this mission is successful as it will open many other opportunities.

Other payloads flying along on fourth stage are very interesting as well.

There's so much to master in this mission. I hope they succeed in every aspect of it. I'll love seeing big steps forward by India, that's better for all humankind.

If they are flawless in their first attempt, it will be amazing. Considering all the things that could go wrong

And please let's not have any infantile remarks about how the US, Russia, France et al did this and more sophisticated things 8 thousand years ago, and therefore Indians should not be too overjoyed or proud if ISRO successfully conducts the operation. I mean, really. Tomorrow, if Philippines, Vietnam, Congo or Bolivia launch an SLV-3 type rocket, it will be highly admirable, and I will be the first to applaud!
