LA fire relief sloth

Hi r/sloths! A friend with two small kids and one on the way lost everything they own in the Eaton fire in Altadena. Their young kid had a beloved sloth toy and were devastated to lose it. I’ve been trying to help the family replace it, but it’s an out-of-production Daiso toy. I’d be happy to buy it for a reasonable price, or if anyone has any clues on how to get one it would be so appreciated. I did purchase one I found online, but it seems the seller is AWOL. Sure wish I could help you locate one. Looking around and cannot find one. That’s really nice of you to help your friends. That’s just heartbreaking ! I know how important the stuffed fav animals are to kids. Mine both had a favorite stuffed animal for many years. I saved them both. I wish there was something I could do. They do have tons of other sloths. Maybe you could purchase one that is different just for now until you locate one. Sure hoping someone will come forward with one. So they have a go fund me or anything? Prob couldn’t post it here anyways. I will offer my prayers though. Just so sick of all of the chaos and the families,land and little beings on the land being taken out like this. You are a beautiful soul. 💗💗💗🐦‍⬛🪽

Who knew there were so many sloths out there! I can find all the other Daiso plushes - bears, bunnies, cats, but not the sloth you need 😢 good luck in your search and recovery from the fires

I've been unable to find this as well. It's a long shot, but you could try contacting the company to see if there's anything they are able or willing to do to help.

You could try asking in r/helpmefind too.

If you're unable to find the same one, maybe the child would still be grateful to receive a different sloth stuffed animal? I would get the other child one too based on their favorite animal though, both to avoid sibling unfairness (in their eyes) and to comfort them too. - Aurora brand
