There are also “fish lovers” in Germany..
eBay Germany.. 60l with over 50 fish, all gasping for air at the top.. Am I just imagining the catfish or is there really one hanging on the glass...?

Unfortunately every country in this world has their fair share of animal abusers. It’s incredibly sad.
But looking at this picture, for these fish at least - if nothing changes - the suffering will soon be over.
Ps: you are not imagining the cat fish.

I looked at the other advertisements from the person, apparently the fish all died after 2 days of the advertisement. He now only sells the aquarium without the fish. 😢

The only good thing is that he’s getting rid of the tank and hopefully won’t subject any other fish to this treatment. The poor souls. :-(

Isnt there a law against fish abuse in Germany or am I confusing it with something else?

There is now an obligation to provide information about the attitude and requirements for employees in pet shops, as well as this being anchored in Section 90a of the German Civil Code (BGB). Animal cruelty is prohibited by law in Germany and concerns the tormenting, mistreating and “unnecessary” killing of animals. This also includes keeping animals in violation of animal welfare!

there is this https://www.bmel.de/DE/themen/tiere/tierschutz/haltung-zierfische.html#doc6964bodyText7, but I'm not sure if it actually counts as a law. It also doesn't make rulings about stocking density, because these are too dependent on specifics.

Omg... No oxygen in this crappy decaying tank.
If those fish weren't so hardy they would all have died they might have by now ..
