Garden Buffet Local Business
So my family and I went to the Garden Buffet on 12-22 and let's just say it was very moist. It genuinely felt like sauna in there and the floors were very slippery and it was like walking on ice. One guy even fell and took out a booth table. the windows had so much moisture on them it was like it was raining. The sugar packets were so moist the sugar was a lump. The dividing glass... Oh god let's just say it looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the old china buffet was open. The price was very high per person too, it was $17.99 per person.
The food wasn't bad but it also wasn't good... I wouldn't go back again.

It was getting rave reviews on Facebook Douglas County Rants and Raves for a minute. Thanks for the heads-up

Sorry you had that experience. I went the first day and I thought it was good. Didnt experience the moisture though either. I am the original person who posted the review in the Rants and Raves group :)

I saw them installing new A/C equipment on their roof not long before they opened. Must be still figuring out the settings, especially on an extra rainy day?

Thanks for your review. I was driving past it today and thought about going, myself. I doubt I will now.

Sunday is all day dinner prices, sorry that you weren't impressed. I tried to get a plate to go today and they were closed.

Why do you think it is so moist? The food? The cleaning?

It's an HVAC issue. The kitchen exhaust hood is undersized for the application and the economizers at the air handlers that should modulate to help control indoor humidity are all bypassed.

The steam tables that the foods are in put out ungodly amounts of moistness this is where the HVAC system is not operating correctly or set wrong. The AC function takes the moisture out of the air.

I went Sunday, and I enjoyed the food. Yes, I agree they need to figure out the ventilation issue, and slippery floors. But, I felt that the price was fair for the food. And they were keeping it rotated, keeping the pans full. I will likely go back, honestly.

I drove by and found the condensation on the windows curious.
