In other news, Meta is doing what trump told them to do.

It has nothing to do with politics.. and everything to do with money.

It isn't like "community notes" is a solution. It just means whichever sides has more vocal people will be "telling the truth".

Disagree. But hey, if there is one thing Zuckerberg is know for, it is doing bad things to make more money. Getting kids addicted to social media, misinformation, trying to get their app into all the non-developed countries to "grow market share" but really just want more influence peddling around the world.

But to make my point, Zuck has met with conservative lawmakers and trump many times, shifting company policy afterwards. He'll do what they want him to do, so that he can continue to do what he does.

Its no coincidence that trump goes after tech companies but not Facebook.

Like when he met with Biden and Democrats.. and they wanted him to put in a "fact checking" department?

What a susprise.. billon dollar business does what government wants so they can keep making millions.

It isn't about politics.. it's about the money. Zuckerberg would crap on a desk on live TV if it was what is required to keep making money.

I totally agree he'd do anything for money. He's just very cozy with trump.

You keep trying to appoint what is easily explained by greed.. to politics.

Seems you have an issue with Trump.

Because he got just as cozy with Democrats 3+ years ago.

Edit. After a quick look at your history.. yep. TDS. Everything is his fault, and no evils existed before he made them. Have a nice day.

You seem to think a little what about-ism easily dismisses my opinion. Any CEO that meets with any president is political; and visa versa. They're literally meeting with a politician. The only reason to meet is for one or both parties to get something political accomplished.

When a business changes its strategy, policies or direction as a result of a political meeting, it's political.

Doesn't matter if it was Biden or trump. They both asked Zuck for something and got something from him. That it's good for Meta's business is just a data point.

My opinion of trump, one of the shittiest human beings around, that I wouldn't trust around my young daughters or my wallet, doesn't matter. Zuck kept fact checkers during Biden's presidency and got rid of them for trump's upcoming presidency. Plain and simple.

But this thread, these replies, aren't about what Biden did. It's about a current story in the news about how Zuck gave trump what he wanted. I stand by my opinion.

"TDS" is a right-wing dog whistle for "you're criticizing my guy" innit

No. It stand for "the Donald syndrome". It is a mental condition in which everything is blamed on Trump. Even when the person didn't complain about it before.

Like age of the president. Wasn't an issue until Biden dropped out. Then all of a sudden age is a major concern.

I'm pretty sure it stands for "Trump Derangement Syndrome." Also, can I have a recipe for oat cakes?
