Trump never bucking Putin can just as easily be explained by Putin being savvy enough to manage his relationship with Trump. He was KGB, after all, so he knows how to work an asset. Meanwhile, Musk has never met a problem he can't solve just by throwing cash at it, but Trump doesn't exactly have a need for cash anymore. Trump has been laundering Russian money since the 1980s when it was the Soviet Union. You say you can't bribe rich people but that's evidently not true, it just needs to be a lot of money. Trump wasted his father's wealth and yet he at least poses as a rich person.

This isn’t about virtue signaling—I understand your point. My concern runs deeper: gay jokes actively harm people who are gay. I don’t see why we should abandon our morals, even when criticizing people we don’t like. The Trump-Elon administration will already spend significant time targeting marginalized groups, so we shouldn’t contribute by implying that "sucking dick," being gay, or anything similar is inherently problematic.
Just because someone behaves poorly doesn’t give us the right to stoop to their level. Doing so reflects more on our own character than on theirs. People aren't NEARLY concerned enough about how much money Elon has and what that means. He can buy ANYONE. He enjoys de-facto immunity from pretty much every law on earth. There isn't anything he can't purchase if he wants or needs it badly enough. There's no prison he can't walk out of after one phone call or private conversation with the right person.

Musk doesn't actually own Trump. Musk spent his money, Trump got elected. Trump isn't going to be running again, as either the Constitution, or his age will get him. So Trump really has no further need of Musk at this point. At the very least Musk needs Trump more than Trump needs Musk.
Didn't Trump enact sanctions on Russia, expell diplomats, close Russian diplomatic facilities, and sell arms to Ukraine? It's kind of an exaggeration to say he never bucked Putin. Or is that being sneaky for appearances? Because then we run into the problem of an unfalsifiable claim. The guest was talking about how he and other US personnel were working in Germany all while the media is constantly saying Trump is working with Putin and what kind of atmosphere this created.
It made me realize something I never thought much of. Many people overseas might be seeing only much of the left wing mainstream media we see in America, which can create a whole world more of confusion.
Then take in the consideration that Trump was doing those things that worked against Russia… it makes you wonder, where’s the truth? There’s too much of a mess to find it, if there is one. Didn’t Mueller basically go on record saying he didn’t have much of anything against him?
