The fact that there were still additional sanctions possible to hit them with is a fucking joke.

my crazy, foreign policy take is the US, Isreal, Ukraine and KSA should make a deal with each other to allow Israel and Ukraine to strike Russian and Iranian core oil infrastructure. with the world awash in oil, KSA is between a rock and a hard place. if 3 million barrels a day were taken offline they could increase production by 2 million. prices would rise but not go crazy, us oil producers would benefit, KSA would benefit, the planet would benefit and Russia/iran would lose.
never going to formally happen but a girl can dream

Would be a good deal but Iran would almost definitely strike back at energy production targets in the Arab world if the West hit Iran’s energy sites.

People have been screaming about the Biden times for the lack of Iran sanctions enforcement but we had to play this game they were all knowing.

Ha, this will be interesting. I wonder if Trump will undo the sanctions on Russia. I guess the idea for sanctioning both was that it would appear bipartisan since they tried to interfere on behalf of different parties

Biden admin foreign policy once again demonstrating his commitment to closing the barn door only once he was absolutely sure there were no animals left inside.
