What’s a Nashville “life hack” everyone living here should know? Discussion

I saw this same question in r/NewOrleans and the answers were fantastic!

I guess I’ll start (but this one is nearly Universal now):

Take a solid pause and look both ways after the light goes green to avoid folks speeding through the beginnings of red lights!

There’s free bulk item pickup through the sheriffs dept. I’ve gotten rid of couches, large rugs, etc by dragging them to the curb, filling out a request and it’s gone in a day or two

ARC of Davidson County will pick up items that can be donated and provide them to people who need them!

ARC is a great program. Most of the stuff goes to those with intellectual disabilities aka trying to furnish them a place to live on their own if they're able, etc. They also pick up outside of Davidson.

I wish I’d known about this one lol. 1-800-Junk or whatever the name of it is charged me $400 to get rid of a lot of the stuff I had to get rid of

I'd love to take advantage of this but pretty sure my HOA will be pissed if I leave shit on the curb even if it was picked up same day.

I love this service, they'll really haul off more stuff than you'd expect. They've taken a mattress and a dishwasher so far for me.
