350euro Leatherman Arc no loctite almost loose the screw

Post image

Hey guys I made this post just to warn futur Arc buyer to Check if all screw is good I almost loose one in less than 24h

unacceptable for premium tool …

I also made the same post on Leatherman reddit page and all of the FANBOIS almost told me its my fault :) they don’t like when people saw the MISERABLE quality control of Leatherman in 2025 …

I like the tool it’s solid feel Nice to have access everything in one hand Nice blade etc

But no loctite is PURE SHAME

And iv’e used tons of multitools in my EOD career like gerber or sog and not a single one broke or came with no loctite in fraction of the Arc price

You might lose it because it's loose. Add Loctite and tighten it down!

I agree. I love leatherman but their quality control has gone way down while prices skyrocket.

Sounds like Benchmade

Benchmade dropped the ball as well? I only own 10+ year old ones and they're great.

100% true i really like the tool itself but bro almost lost the screw outside in less than 24h for the most premium price ?! f*ck this

For that price it’s unacceptable. This is why I’ll never buy the arc. It’s just the P4 with a fancy knife blade slapped on. Quality has noticeably gone done with leatherman over the past couple years.

unfortunatly p4 is gone

Pretty sure it's just exclusively on Amazon now, just can't buy direct from Leatherman. If you're in the US the P4 is currently in stock on Amazon from the Leatherman store.

This is why I buy Victorinox nowadays until Leatherman fix their shit.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m a recent Leatherman carrier. Never a fan of the victornox blade design, but the Leatherman blade looks like any other pocket knife.

The victorinox doesn’t give me the feel that it can withstand actual survival useage.

Is the integrity of the tool compatible to the Leatherman?

The blade for example looks thinner and could snap compared to the blade on the Leatherman.

I am not sure what you mean by survival usage, but I am using my victorinox spirit x a lot at work. Not going essy on it. It is very sturdy, easily beats my previous rebar.

It's real advantage is how much better designed the tools are for my use. Just more usable overall.

spirit is really a good surprise well made rock solid no focking loctite issue my mistake ? buying the most expensive leathercrap

The durability is good on Victorinox tools, I never managed to break mine (and I broke a Gerber and a Leatherman).

i bought a fisherman and it didn’t last a year of regular (and occasional extreme) use. Scales fell off and the knife blunted really fast (no excessive abuse) the quality for the price is great but theres a reason theyre cheap.

350 euro? Really?

It’s your money but that is just silly IMO

I am a new leatherman user from Canada. I first bought the surge and they sent me a shitty scratched up unit, that was already preused and had the factory seal broken on it and was taped up. I reached out to leatherman and they immediately sent a new unit and I sent the old one back to them free.

After that I bought an arc and it arrived in perfect shape, not a single scratch. All slick and shiny, every screw good.

My point is yes they fuck up sometimes but they'll fix it without hassle for you, but my second purchase being in perfect condition shows it's not a normal occurrence.

Yes I understand one time is too much for an expensive product like the arc. And I agree. But their tools are so good, plus you don't need to replace them often if you treat them well. So just reach out to them and tell them your situation, I'm sure they will help you.

Im okay with What you say but on the most expansive tool its not acceptable loctite cost is 10€ they does mega profit on the product and nothing on the screw

I can unscrew in with my pinky Finger How they can miss this in QC ?? Because there is no good QC

Sog 60€ tool with lifetime warranty no issue Victorinox 130€ euro lifetime warranty no issue

Chill out dude, it’s just tightening the screw back in, I know it’s frustrating, but trash talking the company won’t gonna solve it

He definitely wasn’t wrong about the fanboys.

My man, I use a victorinox Swisstool Spirit, i was just saying he is a little upset, because this is the 3 sub I find him complaining, isn’t easier calling the warranty?
