My small multi-tool Review

NexTool mini flagship pro; this is my go-to for about 5 monts and i’m very glad. I add suspension pocket clip and I carry this in my pocket every single day. Absolute beast for 20 bucks!

These had a reputation of broken springs. Pretty much all of them would break eventually. Nextool claims to have addressed this but have not been willing to release any actual data detailing what changes they made.

Yes, I have heard about this in many reviews on youtube, but so far I don’t have that problem. Fortunately, it’s not too expensive to break :)

On the official Nextool Store on AliExpress I asked which version they ship now and apparently they are still shipping both and they get randomly sent from the warehouse UNLESS you leave a note with your order saying you want the newer version. (so I have done that). Still waiting for delivery so let's wait and see. I still have my broken one to compare but I doubt there will be any visible differences between old and better-spring versions

Also, these things are all over AliExpress and meeeh... but cheap as anything.

the REAL value for me is that adapter fits great on the file/flathead (also magnetic) so it adds real value to my mini-flagship... incidentally it also fits on the file/small flathead/2d Phillips of a Victorinox small SAK like signature/classic SD etc

The 2D Phillips screwdriver is actually pointless once you realise that the file/flathead screwdriver also works really well on PH2 screws ....try it. I am going to try grind the 2D Phillips into a chisel.

kinda pedantic but the actual name is nextool mini flagship. pro is the mini's bigger brother.

there's a reputation for easily broken springs on pliers/scissors (?), this has apparently been addressed.

however, to be on the safer side, only go with the silver stainless color.
there's still old excess stock in black and probably other colors.

I was so excited to find this when it first came out, but the pliers on mine were pretty worthless. Unbelievably fragile.

Yes, the pliers are not overly strong, but they can do some simple light tasks

They are as good as the ones on my LM Squirt. I have had zero issues with it and I’m way harder on it than my squirt or dime.

I’ve had mine for less than a month and i love it so far

I love mine. I carry it over my LM Squirt every single time. I have had zero issues and I’m not easy on it at all

Does enyone have a similar one?

I have one with red scales, I made some simple mods and quite happy with results. I will make a video about these mods and will post it in a group. No breaks failures so far.

I use the black knight reasonably often.

The scissors are the dogs bollocks, very good knife for its size, rest of the tools are not bad to be fair. The pliers are for gentle work lol.

in my opinion, scissors are the best tool in this multi-tool, and I absolutely agree with the rest

Hard to beat for it's size and cost so I got 2 of them lol enjoy your tool.

If these had a pocket clip, they would be a huge fucking industry changer
