Plastic clamshell type package opener. Slide along the edge and still get frustrated with the most difficult packaging known to mankind! 😂

I see great joy when some CEO in live television is given a clamshell package with their newest product and asked to open it. And then are asked how they expect a 75yo with health issues to open it.
I know Swedish television did it once. I think it might have been to a Ericsson boss with one of their cheaper mobile phones not shipped in any luxury box. The opening part did not go well...

Jeff graduated a few years ahead of me, but his cousin, Booger Hook Bob, was in my grade. Whata legend.

Opening oysters, plastic clam shell packaging oh and those tiny zip ties on kids toys. Sidenote the wingman is underrated!

It also works well for slicing the plastic on flats of sodas or packs of bottled water.

Love the wingman, I deployed with this bad boy to Afghanistan in 2013

I swear to god the scissors on the Wingman are 50x sharper than any other LM scissors. I’m constantly wishing I could swap them with the shitty, tiny scissors on my Wave+.
I still remember the day I lost my Wingman. Fell out of my pocket while watching my sons play flag football. Didn’t figure it out till I got home. I drove an hour out of my way to comb over that field myself and ask the front desk about lost-and-found. I hope the shit heel that picked up my Wingman and didn’t even try to return it gets crabs for the rest of his life.

Man I was wondering if the LM I picked up after that flag football game had anything to do with the crabs I got mysteriously soon after 🦀

The wingman scissors are crap, bad angle and stuff slides out when closing. Cheaper clone scissors piss all over them.

Maybe there was a production issue? Even accounting for the nostalgia factor, I would say the blade and scissors on mine were scalpel sharp.

They are seriously sharp, just don't cut well. It might of been an upgrade or mod leatherman did to the design as a lot of people on YouTube have mentioned this in reviews. I didn't expect them to be that bad but it happened lol.

Great for slicing open plastic clamshell packaging, or bags of loose material like rock salt or animal feed.

Package opener. Meant for cutting tape. Very solid design, even if it takes a few uses to figure the ergonomics. Once you do . . . works a treat.

It's a package opener. The purpose is to make other people wonder why you're such a little baby who is afraid to use your knife.

It is my fave Leatherman tool and the reason why I love my Wingman, it has taken over from my Vic Swisschamp as my most carried EDC multi tool.

Finger shredder. Jokes aside it Is a very practical package opener. It works Better on plastics then on cardboard. But yeah, be careful, It Is really Sharp.

My buddy and I were camping in Pisgsh in my Jetta wagon, we did some creek crossing and managed to pull off half the plastic shield underneath the engine, so it was dragging on the road. The other half came off very easily (and safely) with this tool.

You're all horny... That's a tool to clean horses' hoofs. When the poor animal gets a stone stuck in its hoof, it sees stars, so Leatherman took out that tool for that purpose. Now, it can also be used for all the other things that you have been thinking of, of course!

It’s to cut fishing line. You hold the line across the body and close the blade on it.

The awl on my Arc or Powerpint work better for packages than the package opener on my Wingman plus the awl is great for making starter holes for wood screws.

That is the letter opener, nail cleaner, scrapper, or however else you want to use the tool.
