Multitool with slide out blade Recommendation Request
I am looking for a Multitool that has a screwdriver and a slide out utility blade/box cutter.
I dream of a single edc tool that has a slide out blade like the of the gerber prybird and screwdriver + profile of something like the gerber armbar slim. Two examples. I don't care about brand.
It does not matter if it's a razor blade or scalpel, I just need quick access to the blade without unfolding it.
I like having a pry bar but that is not a must. I will, undoubtedly end up prying and/or using it off label to hammer something. So it needs some strength.
Any thoughts?

I did something like that with JB weld to a MP400 using a 9mm slide-out box cutter. It worked...okay...but the JB weld snapped off somewhat frequently and would slide out in my pocket. If it was used in a custom sheath it would likely be fine in that regard, but the snap-off blades cannot be used to pry. I'll see if I can find a photo, but I may not have one anymore.

Milwaukee Fastback has a razor blade option and screwdriver that takes standard bits.

Was going to say this myself but OP doesn't want a folder style.

Good point. It's just the only thing I know of with a razor/box cutter and screwdriver.

It's great too, there are a few others similar from other brands but the Milwaukee is the best of them, IMO. It replaced my regular folding knife since I got it.

Not what you wanted to hear but many of us use the can opener blade as a box cutter or the big blade, or the awl---works--the life of a multitool

I carry a carpet knife when I don’t want to mess up my other blades. They are properly sharpened (THREE microbevels), double sided, and provide excellent leverage. I have a Stanley one where it unscrews at the pivot and comes apart. There is plenty of space for some bits in there.

The Gerber Gear Prybrid is just a slide out utility blade knife but is built like a truck in my opinion and the pry bar implemented into its frame is actually done correctly and is very useable. A great option if you are going to hard use the tool. Might be worth taking a look at!!

I went with the prybird! It's a tiny champ. It has joined my miniature r/EDC family.

So you want a fastback but instead of the trapezoid type of utility blade you want the snap off kind?

It doesn't matter to me. It really is just the retractability. I am flirting with getting the gerber prybird x but still doing my research.

Milwaukee fastback is awesome. It's not a slide out, but it has replaceable blades and a screwdriver. Hopefully this helps.
