What do you think about my multi bladed multitool? It's a blade sickle and axe on the other side. Question/Advice

How often do you use a sickle, op? I have a feeling most people never used a normal sickle - so not sure what the demand would be for a multitool version.

Are your plans to hire a knife maker to create a prototype you can field test? May I ask how much something like that would cost?

I wouldnt know. Yeah ppl dont normally use a sickle. Thats why in the drawing i drew it more like a short scythe.

These days ppl make tactical versions out of anything.

That’s more of a bill hook. A scythe or sickle work by having a long thin surface area for cutting.

Swing and a miss

Looks like you are going for one of those thin handles with the injection molded scales. Those things cause blisters if you look at em wrong lol.

It’s like a Woodman’s Pal but tactical.

Is it for murdering zombies on a casual Friday afternoon?

It's kinda interesting, I probably wouldn't buy it though. I think a few people would probably buy it just to have as a collectors item but I highly doubt if anyone would actually EDC it. It gives off serious mall ninja vibes.

Looks good. I’d say the base of the handle needs to be bulbous to encourage a stronger grip

Base meaning butt of the handle? Im thinking this project needs to be a heavy hatchet medium sized axe

Listen, I love a do-dad, but here my input. Use the tools first and get a feel for what works, then design. Good design comes from experience so get out and try them. Sickles need to be balances handle and blade to not be absolutely exhausting to use, axes need the opposite, you (typically) want weight all on the end so gravity and inertia are doing most of the work. If you want something that combines the uses of a billhook an hatchet look at a khukri, if you want an hatchet that can peirce there are dual headed pickaroons. A blade that can also split? Nata
