TSA/Plane-Safe Advice?
I’m finding myself going on more plane rides now and would like to have something as a MT I can easily travel with.
I have a Leatherman Style PS and it’s a bit small and lacking in functions, though I like it a lot.
Thinking about a Roxon, but wondering about the quality and other’s experiences with it.
Any other ideas?

I would recommend just getting nextool mini sailor and removing the blade, takes 2 seconds and lets you keep some of the tools lost on the lite version.

Will I need to unscrew the hinge and remove the blade? Will I need to put a spacer in the blade’s place?

You just unscrew the scale and take the blade off, no spacer needed. There is obviously a gap where the blade was, but it’s pretty closed off so I’m not worried about dust. You still get Phillips, Flathead, Scissors, and bottle/can opener

Thanks for the advice. This is the way I’m leaning right now. I appreciate it.

Got the Mini Sailor and took off the blade. Seems this is the best I can do.
Thanks for the advice.

I have been thinking about taking something I like an modifying it to what would be TSA. Should also work in work environments.
Thinking the BiBury surge clone.
So I get to keep my scissors, plyers, screwdriver and bit.
Get a couple T-holders. File normally. Modify a saw blade into a thin knife maybe. Of course remove and drop in luggage.
Get a scalpel holder. Easily replaceable blades, in the luggage. They come very sharp, but not for long.
And just in case anyone is wondering, I used to work in an airport. I see TSA requirements as a joke. Anyone who really understands what is going on at the airport can get weapons on an airplane. So all they are doing is disarming the passengers so the terrorists don't get hurt.

Which Roxon model are you looking at?
The Nextool Mini Sailor Lite is one that is Knifeless. I do love my Leatherman Style PS. But, I'll give the standard disclaimer, that TSA has been known to take tools even if they are bladeless or Knifeless. (including the Style PS and Swiss Army Jetsetter, which in theory are supposed to be TSA-compliant.) Since the Style PS is discontinued, be aware if it gets taken, and you need to replace it; they are currently running $60-80 USED on eBay.
