The quality of this bag is stupidly good for the price. I have the same one in black and is my favorite edc bag, better than other maxpeditions I have.

Yeah . . . I had the pocket sized one and, in order to get everything I wanted into it, it became unusable as a pocket carry pouch.
This thing is GREAT. I mean, I still have room for MORE stuff.

I throw it in the car when we are heading out for the day/weekend, or if we are away from home for any length of time w/o flying.

Definitely NOT pocket carry, but that was never the intent.
Look for smaller bags from the same manufacturer, you might find something that suits your needs.
