Why does it feel somewhat comforting when I’m bleeding out?
So, I’ve had multiple times where I had gotten injured and started to bleed. Yes, the injury itself hurts, but when the blood starts to pour out, it makes me feel lethargic and kind of on another planet. I wouldn’t say it feels incredible, it just feels extremely comforting and puts me in a sleepy state. I have never lost enough blood to warrant a medical emergency (I know losing blood can make one tired), but just any time I bleed it calms me down. Any ideas? Anybody else feel this way?

I'd say endorphins and maybe your mind unconciously linking to childhood memories of being cared for by a parent/caregiver when you hurt yourself.

Depending on the amount of blood loss, it could be from that, but it could also be endorphins from the initial injury.
