It's as good as a 'collectable' now. All the Gandaberunda edition (quartz n mechanical) are sold out. I've been trying to get my hands on the mechanical (one in the pic above) for two years now. No luck!!

How can you differentiate whether it's mechanical or quartz just by front picture? I'm sorry I'm new in these watch stuff.

No I asked how do you make difference between quartz and mechanical? Automatic = mechanical? Sorry for my dumb questions. I'm 30 and never fond of watches and I used to always buy digital ones. Never wore an analog 😅

automatic watches are type mechanical which wind itself through hand movement to power your watch.while in mechanical you have to wind it manually .in mechanical watch second hand sweeps while in quartz it do tick tick

Got it from a seller from etsy. It’s an aftermarket dial in a hmt janata watch. Got the bund strap from amazon.

Oh not from hmt website then? How did you verified it's not a fake but genuine?

The movement inside is hmt 0231. I took it to a local shop who was a hmt employee back in the day. He said the movement is hmt, and no one would make a copy of already a cheap movement.

I have one that I bought from the HMT shop in Jalahalli a few years ago. Had to pull a few strings to get it from the collection of the CMO.
