From 2014 to 2025, Mark Zuckerberg bought over 1,400 acres on Kauai Island and stole any land the natives wouldn't sell him, earning the moniker 'the face of neocolonialism.' r/all

Many areas of Hawaii don't allow the sale of "normal" sunscreen because some of the chemicals are damaging to reefs, you have to buy mineral sunscreen which doesn't rub in nearly as well.

Same with a lot of the Caribbean islands 👍

Zuck is strange, but mineral sunscreen / zinc oxide is not a new thing. We used it quite regularly when surfing and sailing, but usually just on the nose and maybe cheekbones not the whole face like zuck

What's odd is he put it just on his face and no other body parts.

If it’s mineral sunscreen, that’s odd

If it’s the little jar of zinc oxide, not so odd. We only used that on nose and high points of the cheeks
