Nacho Lopez, Mexican photographer, decided to do a social-cultural experiment and asked Actress Maty Huitron to go to the market while he went back to get more roll, then he hide and took photos while he followed her, capturing the reactions of the men in 1953. HISTORY

Woman here. There’s nothing wrong with looking. As long as they are not saying anything rude, it’s OK.

Right! I’m an older, straight, Black woman and even I said (in my head) “Dayum!”

One of the reasons why I love men in suits, especially from that era. They just threw some clothes on and look immaculate af. Super sexy, especially when they wear the hats. Like oh my, pardon me sir, I appear to be coming down with the vapors!

They didn’t “throw” some stuff on. It was socially expected to look amazing. So they had their suits pressed regularly and spent a huge fraction of their income on clothing compared to today.

Wait, are you telling me that adult human males have an affinity towards attractive adult human females? This is an absolutely shocking discovery, how on Earth did we as a species survive this long with such behaviors?

When I was a younger fit guy I would get the same reaction except from women ( and at the gym from the occasion guy) people just like to look at pretty people. Now I'm old and fat and practically invisible LOL so I see it's just the way the world works

Exactly. I’m a straight woman, and I can appreciate a beautiful woman too. Beauty is beauty. Poets and artists (and scientists) have spend forever trying to figure it out.

In other news, birth rates have fallen into non-replacement levels in most advanced nations, but that is totally unrelated.

Oh my God!!! Proof that straight men are attracted to an attractive woman and don't treat her like someone who isn't attractive?! Oh. My. God.

All these photos are "I'd totally fuck her and a bunch of me toos". Nothing has changed. Even if he didn't go undercover, men would look at her the same.

It’s rare to this American to see a non-Anglo woman in the early 50s being celebrated for her beauty.

Why did the photographer decide to exclude other women from these images? Would they not also be in awe of this stunningly beautiful and stylish woman walking by?

They can look as long as they don't leer or get too close or make weird comments.

This looks so damn scary. Having all eyes on you at all times when you know men are stronger & aggressive seems.... Scary

I would hate to be her, I couldn’t stand it. Culture and time in history plays an enormous part. No biggie.

Isn’t it interesting that, yet, still, a female can create such reaction, with clothes on, unlike those who try so hard today with barely enough to cover their bodies… this includes famous celebrities. Obviously, she is gorgeous but I don’t see her wearing see through clothing or even attempting anything outlandish. And yet men surround her like they are wild animals from the jungle.. instead of just trying to be polite.

The men would be arrested now or sued for using their eyes to stare. Woke shit.
