Was listening to the Locked on Heat podcast and one of the hosts mentioned how Memphis missed out on DFS after offering Kennard, Konchar and a heavily protected first.

Considering Highsmith is a similar player to DFS, maybe a bit worse offensively but better defensively + hes younger and cheaper. Memphis could be considering him as another option.

Would you accept this same package for him? Salaries do not match, I'm just asking to understand what his value would be.

Thought this was an interesting stat that popped up on doing some research after our most recent loss. In our games we dropped, two of our three stars tend to massively underperform. Meanwhile, Herro tends to ascend and rises in nearly every statistical category.

This teams offence has just been so messy since we lost Lowry. I feel we're trying to do a lot of point-Bam and point-Herro and even some point-Duncan and in bursts it can work but its obviously taking too much away from their games, even Herro has looked kinda gassed recently in the later stages from just being overworked.

I just think we need a guy who can bring the ball up and tell everyone what they're doing, get us into some comfortable sets. Get Bam rolling downhill consistently, get Herro/Duncan some catch and shoot stuff off of movement. Right now it feels like we're constantly improvising and making it up as we go along and with a system largely built on role players that excel in specific areas, that doesnt really seem ideal.

What I by this is I think everyone on this heat team is tired of the positions they’re being put in. Bam is playing so far from what he’s use to I feel he’s legit trying to tell the team to put him next to a big because he’s tired of playing the 5. Herro is tired of being put in trade talk for big players so he’s stepping up his game in big ways. Jimmy is tired of being told to bring below average rosters to battle against the top dogs of the east so yeah he probably does want to play elsewhere. Rozier is tired of playing with the pressure being on the heat brings so either let him loose or let him go. You’re trying to win but not putting players in the positions to which is making a lot of things dysfunctional and why we’re dropping games and not going anywhere.

I know this goes against the dooming in this sub, but genuinely like the group of guys we have this year. I just enjoy watching these guys play ball.

Player option on the table...yeah he is definitely re signing but let's say he doesn't and he goes out on to the open market as a free agent and leaves for nothing, that gives Miami cap space especially going into 2026 free agency and list of free agents in 26:

1. PLEASE PLEASE STOP playing rotations with Bam, Jaime, and Terry at the same time. My eyes hurt.
2. When Bam is open in the lane or guarded by Trey, he decides to pass it out. When Bam is guarded in crunch time, he decides to take contested shot. You know it is bad when Hawks commentators are even questioning his decision making.
3. Bam 17 points on 17 shots...
4. Burks please don't take it to the rim, you are a shooter.
5. Niko, I don't care that you play like a guard, you are 6' 10", get the rebound. AND PLAY DEFENSE.
6. Terry & Jaime, you can't brick open shots guys. They are leaving you open, you have to make them pay.

His movement and decisiveness off the screen game has completely changed and you can start to see some of the robotic moves begin to creep into this reel.

He has some amazing moments where he’s a gamebreaker.

Terry, Jaime, Jovic, freaking Bam as well. If so many guys are gonna suck at the same time you can't expect much success. Get Herro some help.

Why can't we play like this consistently?

I blame it on Jovic not being 100% after tonight tho his ankle looks awesome

Jovic took a huge leap this season, and we absolutely needed it.

And Dru Smith, that was a huge blow to us defensively.

I believe the only team that can justify trading for Jimmy would be Denver. They have Jokic who is having arguably the best prime in history and are in win now mode.

They would have to include MPJ in any trade for Jimmy, which would be a big loss since they need more shooting. But he has a bad contract and a Jimmy is a better player. Jimmy and Jokic could be very fun to watch.

A reasonable trade imo would be:

Jimmy, Burks and Highsmith for MPJ, Naji, Saric and a 2031 first.

I included Burks and Highsmith to compensate for the 3pt shooting they would be losing.

Miami could later move MPJ for some picks and expirings to another team, I like his fit in Detroit. And that 2031 FRP can be very valuable.

Would y'all make this deal?

Sorry this isn’t heat related but didn’t know where else to ask this, heading to the Kaseya center for the first time tomorrow for a WWE event, wanted to know where around the stadium do the athletes arrive and if it’s possible to see them arriving so at the stadium?
