Discussion Trade/Keep
I know it’s a bit early but I curious on what people say.
In my opinion:
Keep: Tyler, Jimmy (possibly trade for a better star), Bam (I still haven’t lost faith), JJJ, Ware, Larrson, Robinson, Smith, Burks
Trade: Jovic, Love, Rozier, Highsmith (not bad but we can better), Richardson

Discussion Should Herro become an All Star?
I would say Tyler has earned it. Even though I am not a Heat fan respectfully, I can appreciate talent when I see it and Herro this season has been healthy. He has been ballin. He is putting up All Star numbers right now in Miami. More than earned it in my book.

Discussion Right now , the Heat are exactly .500 when Jimmy is out both this season (4-4) and during the Jimmy era (54-54)
You might think this is mid but it’s actually solid, and consistent. I’d argue that the narrative that the Heat have failed Jimmy is a fake one. Not saying the Heat haven’t made mistakes but they have been better for Jimmy than most other franchises have been for their superstars. I feel like there’s only like 10 guys who have been consistently at the “best player on a championship team” level during the butler era
Jokic - their title team woulda won 30 games without him, this year they would be a bottom five team
Giannis - the jrue Middleton and Lopez teams would be above 500 if Middleton healthy, this year they’d be a bottom 8 team without Giannis
Durant - phoenix is like 1-10 without him
Steph - don’t think any gsw team would be above .500 without him this decade
Embiid - lol
Luka - Mavs have been great this year without him but other years they were really bad. Mavs took some risks and made some moves Heat shoulda made (Kyrie and PJ) but they also gave away Brunson so I wouldn’t say their FO is much better. Either way Heat have won more in the playoffs.
Tatum - it’s insane that Celtics got Jrue and porzingis for basically nothing. I mean, wtf.
Heat have made a couple mistakes but overall they have done well by Jimmy. Id argue that only a couple teams made trades that the Heat should have. I think most all-in moves are bad ideas, like the Durant and Dame trades, both of which are gonna lead to lots of pain for the suns and bucks while not producing any extra playoff wins in the short term. I give the Heat more credit than most for not making mistakes (rozier notwithstanding). They’ve been excellent at drafting and developing, and Spo has been amazing for Jimmy. Jimmy has the second most playoff wins this decade on this list.. he’s not the second best player. So yeah the narrative that “pat failed jimmy” is mostly bullshit.

It now looks like Jimmy Butler is remaining behind in Miami, said to be working on conditioning, as the saga continues. Nothing formal about his status for this weekend's games in Atlanta on Saturday and Houston on Sunday.

Discussion To all Bam apologists
I told y’all: what you think the defense would look like without him, is what the offense actually looks like with him. He’s an undersized max center that can’t space the floor, has no offensive bag to speak of and ends every game with more dribble hand offs than shot attempts.

I did not say he's making it a circus. No clarity offered by either party on precise reason he's not joining team

Discussion What to do after Jimmy leaves
With Jimmy off the books, what should the Heat do with the remaining cap space?
The idea should be going younger, are there any young guys worth getting to build around Tyler and Bam?
Could Kuminga be an option?
Discussion CMV: Pat and the Heat FO are and have been much better than their team’s online fanbase gives them credit for.
Title, essentially. Key word above is "online"
I think many of these people that constantly whine about Pat Riley are more so Jimmy Butler fans than fans of the heat.
Regardless, I've never seen such blatant disrespect of players outside of the stars on the team over the last few years. Straight up just referred to as "bums", regardless of how they perform, simply because they are either role players or they happened to be undrafted. Heat fans, and nba fans in general, seem to have lost the value of role players. It also sounds like a lot of people would prefer to have a top-heavy team build like the Phoenix suns these days. It's not going to work in Phoenix, and it wouldn't work now with the heat either. If we're being honest, it barely worked with the big 3 heat.
And also, Jimmy butler is one of the primary reasons as to why the heat have had a few mid regular seasons, when you consider that he either doesn't play, OR when he does he plays passively (very often at least), hijacking the offense by passing up shots that are there for him. The regular season also doesn't matter, so I kind of get it. But fans complain during the season too, so I don't think it's worth it.
Rant is over.
TL;DR, heat front office deserves more credit for putting the heat (and Jimmy) in positions to win titles, as evidenced by their playoff performances. Role players are undervalued by heat fans and the league wide fanbase. Heat fanbase misses the big 3 era from a decade ago, which wouldn't work in todays game.

Discussion Get bam off this team
He's a glorified draymond green that makes the offense 100x worse.
So many times this game we get it close then we try to play through bam in the fourth and he does his bullshit 12 footer turn around which never lands. Hes a major liability on offense, its not fair to tyler whose busting his ass off for these close games to only be sabotaged by bam and his lazy style of play.
Tyler is seeing what jimmy is seeing in that the whole team is just trash. If tyler gets locked down or doubled the players he passes it too are just so ass its insane.
Bams ceiling is a draymond green that cant do anything on offense. His defense isnt even that great either he isnt a glue person if we lose every game because of him.
