Only realistic Jimmy trade scenario, would you do it? Discussion

I believe the only team that can justify trading for Jimmy would be Denver. They have Jokic who is having arguably the best prime in history and are in win now mode.

They would have to include MPJ in any trade for Jimmy, which would be a big loss since they need more shooting. But he has a bad contract and a Jimmy is a better player. Jimmy and Jokic could be very fun to watch.

A reasonable trade imo would be:

Jimmy, Burks and Highsmith for MPJ, Naji, Saric and a 2031 first.

I included Burks and Highsmith to compensate for the 3pt shooting they would be losing.

Miami could later move MPJ for some picks and expirings to another team, I like his fit in Detroit. And that 2031 FRP can be very valuable.

Would y'all make this deal?

2k is not real life bro. Stop with this BS.

Y’all say the same for every trade lol.  Stars with big contracts get traded all the time and deals like this happen. It’s a pretty simple trade…  Y’all read something and just repeat it without thinking lol

And “y’all” post BS trade scenarios and get upset when people don’t like it.

Stop posting.

Not getting mad, just pointing out the obvious

What’s obvious? That you shouldn’t be posting trade scenarios? That you choose to post content knowing it will be downvoted? That you know it will be downvoted but still have the audacity to blame others for making yourself a target?

The obvious is that y’all call any trade a 2k trade. Don’t care about getting downvoted and I don’t believe people are targeting me lol, idk where you are getting that from.

It’s called that bc it’s unrealistic.

You’re making yourself a target by posting unrealistic trades and the it’s everyone else’s fault they don’t see your “realistic“ scenario.

every trade seems unrealistic until it happens. if someone told you the knicks would trade randle for KAT you'd call it a 2k trade.

Trades like this happen all the time.

Again I’m not making myself a target, I post whatever I want lol.

If a trade idea triggers you that much try spending less time in Reddit…

I was trying to help you but you obviously enjoy any attention you can get, good or bad.

If you have no life outside of posting unrealistic trade scenarios, then I hope you find happiness in that.

Did the front office not say we aren’t trading Jimmy? Am I missing something?

GM say that all the time and it’s been reported that no team as even offered anything for jimmy

Per Pat, we are not trading Jimmy Butler.

I don't think a package exists for a Jimmy trade unless you're trying to rebuild and get picks. It's just a tough market/environment with the new CBA and cap limits for the money he wants.

About Riley’s comments, every FO denies they are going to trade their star, does not mean anything tbh.

And I don’t think Miami will get much in exchange for Butler, definetly not enough tho think about rebuilding

True. If it were any other person I'd believe it less, but Pat still wears the Wade mishap on his face. Plus it's not a good look to publicly lie and then expect future potential signees or current players to believe anything you say.

You seem fun

You are completely right and that's a fair trade that you proposed. Don't listen to the kids here who literally refuse to ever acknowledge that any trade is good unless we're getting 10x the value of what we're giving up

Only one for me if Jimmy really wants out:

Warriors: Jimmy

Heat: Fox

Kings: Picks + Young dudes from both teams

We already have one small pg shooting like shit from 3. I don't get the love for getting another small pg that's shooting even worse from 3. We need more spacing, not less, and soon as he loses a step he's cooked. If he was under 23 i could see it, not at 27

That’s not interesting for the heat. If GS threw the bag for Jimmy I could see us maybe accepting. Rockets aren’t interested.

I could see a Fox three way blockbuster.

Most likely - Jimmy plays out his contract and either gets sign and traded in the offseason or resigns with us.

I think Miami would wait for Fox as a FA in 2026.  In this case I’d try to move MOJ for another 1st and expiring. Getting 2 first for Jimmy IMO is better than letting him walk for nothing

u/fckurrules6 7d ago

I think I would rather let Jimmy walk and open up that cap space than make that trade

Send MPJ to the Hornets for our pick back. But still not enough from Denver to get Butler

Yeah could be, I just think that 2031 1st could be very good. And MPJ could also be traded for another 1st
