All this time off means a fresher Jimmy come playoff time and gives the youngins more run. If we can somehow secure that 5/6 seed we’re going to be, dare I say it looming spookily come playoff time.

But what would be the point of lying about it? Unless you're trying to keep his trade value intact? That is why this seems really odd. Also the fact that they said he would be with the team over the weekend, but then ended up saying he will be gone for 2 more games. Something is going on behind the scenes. I'm not even sure the front office even knows what's happening at this point.
