Samsung filtering gun searches?
I've got a Galaxy phone, and the photo gallery let's you search your images via a text prompt. Except guns. I've got several pictures of my guns on my phone, and the only prompt it will accept is toy gun....wtf?

Could this be a ‘safe search’ setting ?
How to turn SafeSearch off on Samsung
you can disable this by heading into the Google app > Tap the icon with your initial in the top right > Settings > Hide explicit results > Toggle this off.
Just a thought..

Cuz you know, pictures are soooo dangerous. Who the fuck keeps coming up with these dumbass definitions of “safe”?

Private companies in free market capitalism and I am pretty sure Android/Samsung/Google ain't the government where they have to be neutral to words. Just like YouTube can refuse to auto fill and populate certain words in their search that are related to gun content. Gotta love the open free market and marketplace of ideas.

Just like nudity, guns can be triggering (see what I did there) to some people. So, they try to make "safe" search skip those images. Not, saying it's right. Just why they try to justify it.

The search engines are doing that. Theyve admitted to it for years now too.

I had that issue when I installed the AI assistant on Google photos.
Uninstalled immediately.
