You’re worth a bcg like this. Treat yourself. They’re fantastic.

u/anonymousnobody14 Feb 28 '23

What makes them fantastic?

u/cltnthecultist Feb 28 '23

They’re incredibly well made and tested to an exacting standard. NP3 is great for a few reasons. One, it’s self lubricating. Not that you shouldn’t use lube, but it’s like a super Teflon coating. Two, it’s incredibly easy to clean. Just give it a quick wipe with a paper towel and it’s done. Not that cleaning a phosphate bolt is the end of the world, but it’s always felt like taking one of those shits where you just keep wiping and wiping and your ass is never clean. Three, it looks clean and classy. Having a subtle silver poking out of the ejection port is, to me, way nicer looking than flat black. And of course, you get to say “Yeah, it’s a sionics np3” and pretend you’re not a poor, when in reality you just went into debt buying it lol.

You need to eat more fiber

3

u/FreshOutdoorAir Mar 01 '23

You need to shut the fuck up

3

u/fuzznugget20 Mar 01 '23

Oh someone is grumpy when they are constipated

1

u/FreshOutdoorAir Mar 01 '23

If I’ve had my coffee, I’m not grumpy nor constipated.

7

u/r34ddi789 Feb 28 '23

fucking dammit.

u/MK12Mod0SuperSoaker Feb 28 '23

Does NP3 stain like NiB?

-1

u/brianstheman Feb 28 '23

Likely a bit, but far less noticeable

5

u/racewest22 Feb 28 '23

They have the dimensions spec'd so the gas seal is still efficient despite a coating that doesn't add as much material as chrome or phosphate. At least, that's what the internet says, I don't know.

Sionics does hpt each bolt, use Springco springs, and upgraded screws for the gas key. None of those are necessary for normal performance, but they might help keep it running if you have to abuse your gun.

Does your store offer a MIL/LE discount, by any chance?

35

u/MilitiaArmory Dealer Feb 28 '23

Hello we get this question a lot lately …this is our position on exclusive discounts you can find on our FAQ:

“Due to the ethos of “Militia” Armory, we do not currently offer a MIL/LEO discount. We want to make sure access to the 2A and its related equipment remains fair by not offering additional discounts to any particular group. Whenever we offer discounts, we would like them to apply to all.”

We didn’t feel it was right to be the armory of the people then turn around and offer discounts to one group and that isn’t available to others.

u/kayl_breinhar Feb 28 '23

Fair enough.

How does this compare to the microbest chrome bcg? Is scionics and np3 significantly better?

9

u/RNAguns Feb 28 '23

I’d personally choose chrome Microbest over Sionics just based on SOTAR’s expertise and preference. I’m no blind follower, but the man has measured more BCGs across his work bench than I’ll ever see pictures of on the interwebs, and he prefers chrome and phosphate (along with their final dimensions) over NP3.

13

u/Aioros7777 Feb 28 '23

Sionics are microbest, as far as i know...also SOTAR has never had a sionics not score all green on his BCG gauges....loads and loads of QC at sionics, but honestly take that with a grain of salt

5

u/RNAguns Feb 28 '23

No doubt Sionics makes a great BCG, but I choose chrome over NP3 and $120 over $220.

6

u/Aioros7777 Feb 28 '23

yup! agree! np3 is the new gucci shizz but i would pay the sionics tax on their phosphate because im getting a cherry picked microbest that is very gas efficient.

3

u/RNAguns Feb 28 '23

That’s definitely money well spent!

5

u/work_blocked_destiny I commented! Feb 28 '23

Yeah his last vid was all I needed to see to convince me to only buy phosphate

2

u/weighted_impact Feb 28 '23

Really? Phosphate over chrome…. I guess I better go watch this video.

6

u/RNAguns Feb 28 '23

I recall he prefers chrome the best, followed by phosphate, followed by NP3.

3

u/FreshOutdoorAir Mar 01 '23

His latest video was 3 of the all chrome Expo Arms BCGs, which is Primary Arm’s house brand and PA has confirmed they are indeed Microbest. AR15Discounts also sells the all chrome BCG under the Microbest name, they did a sale last week that was $110, cheapest I’ve seen for a Microbest brand all chrome BCG, and cheaper than their Black Friday price of $120. SOTAR said something like he loves chrome BCGs or has a soft spot for them, I don’t remember his exact words but he basically said he favors them. Video was uploaded yesterday I think. All 3 BCGs did very well, and they were considered blems, so that’s pretty awesome.

u/PMull_90 Feb 28 '23

Finally going to grab one of these. No tax no shipping, you guys rule.

4

u/MilitiaArmory Dealer Feb 28 '23

Thanks for the support!

3

u/Silly-Wi11y Mar 01 '23

No tax and free shipping? Sold. But do we get stickers? That’s the real question.

3

u/MilitiaArmory Dealer Mar 01 '23

Of course! Stickers and weird strawberry candies!

2

u/cltnthecultist Feb 28 '23

You guys getting any more of those 12.5 sionics uppers in soon? That upper with this bolt and the raptor for 850 is something I’m willing to go into debt for, especially since I’ve got a lower that’s eligible for amnesty registration.

3

u/MilitiaArmory Dealer Feb 28 '23

We have more ordered but no ETA for now :/

2

u/cltnthecultist Feb 28 '23

Rats, what a shame. Hopefully WA won’t suck and I’ll still be allowed to buy one by the time you get them lol.

1

u/joseph-1998-XO Feb 28 '23

Good stuff, runs even with super filthy gunk builds up if you’re a suppressor enjoyer

1

u/KatoLee3 Feb 28 '23

Worth it then? Heard this bcg also help lessen the gas blow back, any truth to that?

1

u/joseph-1998-XO Feb 28 '23

Idk about that, but definitely reliable with all the brass I’ve ran

How’s this vs Triarc NP3 bcg?

2

u/HiCnTurkey Feb 28 '23

Essentially the same except Sionics uses a C158 bolt instead of 9310

1

u/Scottkimball24 Mar 01 '23

Is c158 or 9310 better?

4

u/HiCnTurkey Mar 01 '23

9310 is supposedly more durable IF heat treated properly. C158 is more consistent.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '23

[deleted]

2

u/FreshOutdoorAir Mar 01 '23

Exactly why I prefer C158.

2

u/HiCnTurkey Mar 01 '23

Very, very few

u/Disastrous_Ant7819 Mar 01 '23

Is there a lifetime warranty?
