[Discussion] Who do you think will fight these enemies? 100 Years Manga
Currently in 100 Years Quest, we have the Oración Seis and Merudy fighting the Oración Sechs, Erza vs. Wed, Ignia and Faris are likely gonna start fighting (with Natsu likely to join in), and we have Wendy joining Diabolos to deal with Selene's Lacrima and Gray attempting to deal with Viernes. People also strongly assume Gray will fight Lecka (perhaps he tries to protect the Lacrima if that happens).
But that still leaves 3 members of Fire and Flame unaccounted for; Raj and the Signario Sisters.
So who do you think will fight them? Do we think one (or the two in the case of the sisters since they usually fight together) of them will come to protect Selene's Lacrima? Maybe Natsu will encounter one of them on his way to Ignia? Could the sisters split up and maybe they fight different members of Team Natsu? Or maybe something else (other characters show up maybe?)?
Would the Signario Sisters even fight? Defeating the Mage who casted a spell in Fairy Tail often undoes it so if they go out to fight, they might be risking the plan falling apart should they lose (if Dragonization Magic works that way).
Would be interested to hear people's thoughts and theories.

Lucy vs Signario Sisters
Wendy and Diabolus vs Selene and Raj
Gray and Athena vs Lecka and Viernes
I'm betting on these fights.

I could see these matchups happening. All of them seem plausible. Would be epic to see Lucy defeat the ones who started the Dragonization.

I think it's consistent with the level of relevance that Lucy has in the manga and trajectory so far, but Hiro can be unpredictable at times.
The idea is that Lucy can summon several spirits to overcome the numerical disadvantage against the two Sisters. She tried this against the Strauss Brothers.
Currently, Lucy is supposed to be much stronger and more confident in her abilities. And she has Aquarius...

True. She was the one who made peace with Athena, the White Wizard, so I could totally see her being pitted against such important characters. And it'd be a great moment to show how strong she's gotten, plus cool to see her fight alongside Aquarius.

Lucy should fight one of the signario sisters, she still hasn't had her 1 vs 1 fight in this arc and I want to see if having Aquario will change anything, besides seriously, I would really like to see a new mix, we are a few months after turning 3 years since the last new one she used against kyria.
If I'm honest I hope this happens at the very least so that Lucy has a very good fight. On the other hand, if Lucy doesn't have another role in future chapters it would be quite disappointing for me because what we saw at the beginning was not bad but I would like her to stand out in an individual scene or maybe more than one.

While I was fine with what Lucy got, as a Lucy fan, I'm always down for more stuff for Lucy and I'd definitely love to see a new Star Dress Mix and see her fight alongside Aquarius again. I will say though, as another user mentioned here, the Signario Sisters seem like a packaged deal who are always seen together. So if Lucy's fighting one, I'd imagine she'd be fighting the other too.

If they protect the lacrimas of Selene and Viernes then where were they to protect that of Mercphobia?
I hope something will happen at Lucy's because I have a feeling of not enough.
😭
After all, Brandish chewed up almost all of her work and therefore didn't have the opportunity to really shine herself.

I don't really know if a Fire and Flame member would've performed well in Mercphobia's vicinity. Suppressed and nerfed, his water put out a suppressed Ignia's fire. He's full power now. It'd be like an Ice Mage trying to use their Magic in the Sun. Would be cool to get more for Lucy though.

Signario Sisters vs. Misaki and Kiria is a fight I’d love to see, but I know it’s unlikely to happen.

That would be a really cool fight. The mentor and student with a sisterly bond vs. the Signario Sisters. Plus, even if I'm uncertain they'd still use their Alchemy, one is a swordfighter and the other can shape a dimension, much like Ennie's focus on Armor Alchemy and Luso's focus on World Alchemy (though Ennie can use it too). I'd love to see this if it were possible.

Still betting Signario Sisters going after Viernes for revenge.
Gray's got nothing on him to deal with it. Only other option would be Athena

I could see both Athena and the Signario Sisters if this were to happen since both were manipulated by Viernes in some way.

The Signario Sisters seem like a packaged deal. Wherever they go, I feel it will be the two of them together rather than them separating and going to different locations. I think they will fight Wendy, and she will get help from Misaki and Haku, while the rest of Diabolos either deals with the lacrima and distracting Selene or goes off to help in other battles. The Signario Sisters have both displayed powers similar to some that Misaki and Haku have displayed, so a matchup between them would make sense.
As for Raj, he could maybe fight Lucy. Lucy will probably be trying to make her way over to Dramil to help Natsu, and on the way will be stopped by Raj. I'm not really sure why most of the fandom seems to have unanimously decided that the Signario Sisters are going to be Lucy's opponent, as they don't really share much in common powerwise or have much connection narratively, other than the fact that they are both female and that it's a common trope for the main female of the hero side to fight the main female of the villain side.
Speaking of Raj, do we even know for sure if he was dragonified? When the lacrimas showed up, he was the only Fire and Flame member not at the castle. Unless they later picked him up, Misfortune and Wed made their way back to the castle while Raj was just left behind in the town, in which case he might have missed his chance at being dragonified by the initial activation if he was too far away.

I could see those matchups as plausible, but if we're going off of similar powers, I wonder if the Signario Sisters will still use the same powers. It's not confirmed, but they could've learned their Alchemy while controlled by Viernes and if so, it doesn't seem they remember much from when he controlled them. But I guess we'll see.

Wed wasn't there either. Yea, Wed and Misfortune were making their way back, but they weren't there yet and still, Wed's Dragonized. Ignia probably waited til they got back and they could've taken Raj back with them.
Also, would Lucy be heading to Dramil? She doesn't have a way of knowing Natsu is there.

It’ll probably be Dragonized signario sisters vs Strauss siblings.
1
u/Ninja_SurgeFairy 3h ago
As cool as that'd be, there's not really any sign of the Strauss Siblings showing up anytime soon. But I guess we'll see in the future.

Honestly would be cool if Wendy gets her duel element mode from either a Diabolos mage or Selene. Moon Sky Dragon would go hard
2
u/Ninja_SurgeFairy 3h ago
That would indeed go hard. Plus, they are related elements and we could have an emotional moment out of it since Wendy's former mentor sacrificed herself to save Selene. That could be really cool.

I hope Jellal gets in fight, but helps Crime Sorciére. And Erza joins after she's done
2
u/Ninja_SurgeFairy 3h ago
I don't know myself. I wanna see Erza and Jellal fight together, but I'd wanna see Crime Sorcière fight the battle themselves and get their own win.
2
u/476Cool_broski588 3h ago
Or rather...Jerza family fight against villains, Crime Sorciére get their W and then reunite with Jerza family and they solo EVERYONE.
2
u/Ninja_SurgeFairy 3h ago
They wouldn't be soloing everyone because solo means one character defeating multiple characters on their own, so a group couldn't solo. And if they did it to everyone, that'd take away from other characters.

I still hold onto hope that Jellal saw the lacrimas during his trip back—we don’t know if he boarded the ship right after talking to Erza or if the ship took some time to depart—and decided to return to see what was happening.
And while I’d love to see him reunite with Erza, I’d also be okay with him showing up in a totally unexpected place and fighting alongside Gray or Lucy. Wendy seems unlikely since she already has the entire Diabolos crew with her. The only place I wouldn’t want him to show up is during the Oración Seis fight.
1
u/Ninja_SurgeFairy 41m ago
That'd be cool, but we also don't know how much time passed between Team Natsu parting ways with Jellal and encountering Brian so he might've been gone by the time things started. But yeah, if he were to get involved, I definitely wouldn't want it to be in the Oración Seis/Merudy's battles.

I've said it before but it's hard to see Gray doing anything meaningful or significant right now
1
u/Ninja_SurgeFairy 1h ago
True. But Lucy was able to do something significant, albeit with help. Heck, we've already seen a Dragonized person be moved with a brute force attack, that being Karameel, so perhaps if Gray fights and defeats a Fire and Flame member, he can use their Dragonized body to damage Viernes' Lacrima. I know Lucy used Mercphobia's body, but perhaps a strong enough hit, even from a smaller "Dragon" could do the trick. Surviving Viernes would be the issue, but maybe he can get some help like Lucy with Brandish's help.

The thing is Gray needs his own spotlight. Him accomplishing something with someone else's help won't do it.
1
u/Ninja_SurgeFairy 49m ago
Trust me, as a Gray fan, I wanna see him get spotlight too. But as others have said in the past, I'd wanna see it done sensically and in this case, Gray would logically need help. We can still have him get the spotlight, but yet have someone else involved in the areas where he logically would need it. Balance giving him spotlight and maintain the logic. Erza isn't dealing with Aldoron, but she's fighting a strong opponent. Give Gray a strong opponent too, but obviously someone else would be needed to help since he's not a Dragon Slayer.
2
u/Now_I_am_Motivated 46m ago
Yes given the situation he's in he needs help, which is really unfortunate.
1
u/Ninja_SurgeFairy 35m ago
To be fair, against Aldoron, Erza would've needed help too. But she's still getting a cool moment by fighting a cool, strong opponent. Mashima could just do the same thing for Gray and then him needing help with Viernes wouldn't necessarily take away a chance for spotlight.

The problems are the opponents Gray has been facing though. They really haven't been that impressive
