I couldnt even do that, my character got downed on an ambush and then the dm just made sure to 3 tap me with eldritch blasts before i even had a turn to make death saving throws, no one had time to heal me, i didnt lasted too long on that campaign, there were lots of disagreements

That just sounds like a shitty dm. If one of my players is low, I’ll have the enemy they’re fighting “forget about them” unless they’re ya know. Still hitting the enemy.

That just sounds like a different kind of game, and one with other issues. Besides that- your idea of shitty is not everyone else's. Some of us find DM's who baby us as Players and pull punches to be shitty. Quit it with the elitism.

I get your point, but tripling in on a downed character is something else. What I meant is that if one of my players where to disengage and break off to heal or recuperate, I’m not going to chase them. But if they keep trying to fight I’m gonna attack them. Didn’t mean to sound elitist, just poor wording on my part.

I see. But the main issue is that the Player in question either did not ask, or was not told, what kind of game was being run. They went in expecting something akin to "plot armor superheroes", and got "Play smart, or die".

Insisting that someone else who plays differently than you is wrong for doing so is the elitist bit. But i get your point now that you've clarified. Have a good one, anon.
