In the spirit of the topic, this subreddit is moderated minimally. I made it with an idea in mind of how it'd be used, but it's used how it's used. My one requirement is that posts be at least tangentially, arguably, related to the topic.

Desire path blocked off at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Newly added barriers I’m guessing for the sole purpose of blocking off this desire path. Sad world we live in where the university would rather block it off than spend a little more money to just pave a real path.

Beacon, NY Desire Path to Train Station
galleryTo get from Beacon to the train station (and vice versa), you need to deal with a pretty brutal hill. Looks like the city accepted the path and put some gravel on it. There is also a developing path further up the hill just off of Main St because the stair case is being renovated.
