Haha mine wait on the roof across the street too.

But they fly off when I open the window T_T

They’re super super cautious, even after two years of me putting food for them.

I really hope that he'll get less cautious. They're smart birds though so it'll probably take awhile. πŸ™ƒ

So patient! From my experience with the magpies, they are fearless little daredevils. And compared to the crows, are far less finicky and bashful to start. Good luck on the befriending!
