Better source of projects?

Any recommendations on a better place to source project consoles other than eBay or Facebook

Ebay and facebook. Ask around on facebook for parts consoles. I picked up a "broken" nes about 5 days ago for $20. Works just fine but needs a recap, cleaning, and retrobrighting.

I'm specifically needing original Xbox consoles

If you live in Canada : i bought mine in a shop called alligator gaming or smth. They sold defective one for like 20$ each. Bought one. It was working. 🤣🤣

I’ve had better luck on Facebook than on eBay, I hate that some people have bots that automatically outbid others.

Yeah, everyone in my area on Facebook prices things waaay to high. eBay isn't cheap either and is a pain but gotta do what you gotta do

Sorry, I meant to say I had better luck on Facebook compared to eBay. Look for garage sales group in your area, I was able to get 5 console for $100 once.

In Australia, but our local dump (rubbish tip) has a shop and my dad's scored a lot of project consoles through them. Second-hand stores (dunno what they'd be called overseas, charity shops maybe?) may have some but in Australia there's fairly strict rules on selling appliances so not a lot have them if they're not working. If your country is more relaxed, that could be an option?

I may try secondhand shops. A lot of them here have gotten greedy. Thank you

Flea markets. If you have one nearby that's the best option.
