Small bug with keyboard shortcuts, can you reproduce it?

I'm wondering if a few of you on Windows can take maybe 60 seconds to see if you can reproduce this bug.

I'm dealing with support on a small bug with keyboard shortcut keys and they are telling me that they can't reproduce it and I have no trouble reproducing at all, even on a brand new, from scratch Capture One installation with all preferences and settings cleared and at their default, virgin state. It feels to me like they made no effort to actually try to reproduce it in the configuration that I reported it for. I'd like to find out if everyone else can easily see this issue or it is indeed somehow unique to my two systems.

The issue I observe is that attempting to use Ctrl-Left and Ctrl-Right to move by word when editing metadata doesn't move the cursor, but instead changes which image you are viewing and potentially loses what you just typed. That's because Ctrl-Left and Ctrl-Right are configured by default as shortcuts for moving to the next and previous image and those shortcut keys are still left active when trying to edit metadata. Just like single letter shortcut keystrokes aren't active when you're in a text edit field, the same should be true for other keyboard shortcuts. If you compare to Ctrl-Home and Ctrl-End, those are active when the focus is in the filmstrip, but not active when the focus is in a text field editing the description. This is how Ctrl-Left and Ctrl-Right should be also.

Here are the steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Capture One and select an image that is not at one end or the other of the filmstrip (so there are images before and after it).
  2. Open the IPTC Content Metadata section.
  3. Click the cursor into the Description field
  4. Type several words in that field.
  5. After you've typed several words and the cursor is at the end of what you typed, then hit Ctrl-Left.  Rather than the cursor just moving to the previous word, Capture One will change what image is displayed and you may lose what you just typed (it won't be saved for the image that you were previously typing it for)

I'd appreciate it if a few of you could tell me if you can reproduce this behavior or not. If you try, the please post your results (yes or no - you see the same issue) as a reply and state OS platform/version and Capture One version.

If this is indeed a generic issue that isn't unique to my system, I'd like to be able to tell Capture One that. If it happens in the latest version (which I don't have a license for), that would also be useful to know. And, if it happens on Mac, that would also be useful to know.

FYI, my work-around is to manually delete the built-in keyboard shortcuts for Ctrl-Left and Ctrl-Right so they don't cause this problem.
