Hear me out. His initial showcase beating uryu. Jackie/dirty boots. And his bankai reveal against Byakuya. Lost the fight but it’s a character W. He chipped away at Byakuya’s heart by taking a stand for Rukia. If everyone didn’t do this Byakuya would have just crushed Ichigo going full out no mercy fighting for a cause he didn’t even fully believe in. So it’s a massive support W that shifts the entire final battle of the most defining arc.

beat mask de masculin and the funny thing is renji was not even using full extend of power

beat jackie tristen bare handed

also bro has one of the most versatile and cool bankai in series, also the strongest lieutenant and married rukia the secondary MC of series

i know people make fun of renji for loosing but dont they see he looses to opponents stronger than him by a wide margin, he is a lieutenant at the end of day doing more than some bum captains

the only time he actually won in strigh up fight is findor

byakuya didnt "struggle", he just said fighting sword with barehanded has its limits which it does, on that he got clapped by pepe too
